Don't know what to think about Lukaku. I'm certain its poor business for Chelsea - the kid is fantastic, and in 2 years will probably be better than even Costa. Everton on the one hand have secured a top talent at a reasonable price, but on the other just dropped £30m to have the same squad as last season when they have like 15 extra games. They need another striker as backup imo. We're apparently close to another Belgian striker, signed besic, and we have the 4 loan slots still open we used last season for these players. Gibson, koné and Oviedo back fit and the Chelsea winger coming in on loan so we should be sorted end of window.

Someone warn Wenger that the "excited to see what cheap great players Benfica got this year thing" not going to happen...
Probably our worst squad in 15 years. Really scared about today's match.
Btw...how is it possible that no club has tried to sign William Carvalho from Sporting??? Damn!

He always seemed to be linked to Premier League clubs for €30m.

So say Peter Lim sold his shares in Valencia or whatever his position is, and then bought another club, he could take Rodrigo wherever he goes? I say this as I know Peter Lim was interested in buying Cardiff before haha, and I would love to see Rodrigo here!

He tried to buy Benfica and failed (its not possible to buy Benfica since paying members hold 51% of the shares). So he decided to go with Valencia but taking as most Benfica players as he could. Rodrigo and Andre Gomes are already there. Enzo Perez is most likely joining. But since he isnt a club he cant loan players. So Rodrigo's economical rights are Peter Lim's but "sportive" rights stil belong to Benfica.

Seeing Liverpool linked with Balotelli.
I actually think that'd be a good signing. He probably won't cost an arm and a leg, plus Balotelli is the type of player who needs to be loved. I could see Rodgers doing wonders with him like it seemed he did with Suarez (well, until the next unpleasantness).

Haha replacing one nutter with another isn't the best idea in my opinion. I'd love it to happen though.

Newcastle meant to be signing Lascelles and Darlow from Nottingham Forest, loaning them back for a year.
Good bit of business that, not sure if Darlow is necessary though.

Newcastle are doing some great business this summer though. If Pardew stays sane and the players all stick together they could have a really good season.

Newcastle's players should do alright together since all of the new players already know at least one person in the existing squad so they're not a complete outsider. Ferreyra already has an assist despite only being with the squad for less than 24hrs. And on a related note, Remy Cabella was spotted in a local Wilkinson store. Dunno what he's after in there with all the money footballers have.

Sunderland in negotiations to sign Rodwell for £10m.
Very risky move. If he stays fit, I think it's a great signing. Every time I've seen him play he's been very good. £10m seems steep though for someone so injury prone. Nice chunk of change for Man City though, for a player they don't want.

We've sold Jordan Mutch to QPR for £6M. Good business considering he was in the last year of his contract.
Showed flashes of brilliance but tends to run out of steam or goes missing in important games.

We've signed Tom Adeyemi from our feeder club Birmingham City (I kid, but it's nice that times have changed). Highly rated and a natural replacement for Jordon Mutch.

Bojan's made a good start at Stoke, 3 goals in 3 games in pre-season. Hopefully we can see why he played over a 100 games for Barcelona.
Liverpool sign Manquillo aswell, hopefully it'll give Glen Johnson a kick up the arse, can't look when he tries to defend. Also looking forward for us to (hopefully) complete the signing of Moreno from Sevilla.
