I know there are a ton of Shield threads but this has to do specifically with Dean...
With Rollins turning on his "brothers" the Shield looks to be on its last legs. Reigns is poised to be pushed to the moon (I think its a bit early) and Rollins will get a HUGE rub working with HHH and Orton. That seems to leave Ambrose as the odd man out and right now it is a little hard to predict where he will end up when all is said and done.
When the Shield first debuted it looked as if the WWE was behind Ambrose the most. He did almost all of the talking and was booked as the leader of the group. Following WM29 he won the US Title and was competing in singles matches while Reigns and Rollins were tagging for months while barely saying a word. It looked as if Dean was the one the WWE was going to push to the moon. However, following SummerSlam last year Rollins began getting more mic time, the seeds were being planted for Reigns big push, and Ambrose and the US Title were pushed to the back seat. By the winter Ambrose was loosing matches weekly and was now booked as the "weak link" in the group. At the start of the year Rollins was getting equal mic time with Ambrose and Reigns was in full "monster" mode while Dean was looking more and more like the third wheel. We now find ourselves with Rollins and Reigns looking to receive big pushes and Ambrose lost in the shuffle.
If rumors are true Ambrose will be putting over Rollins while Reigns goes through Orton and HHH. After the dust settles Reigns will likely be the world champ, or close to it, and Rollins will be feuding in the upper midcard at the very least. Ambrose's future seems to be more sketchy and I'm not sure where he will go from here. Reigns is priority #1 in the WWE's eyes, while Rollins is going to be pushed as a top heel with Bray Wyatt. With the WWE's terrible booking of the midcard I feel Ambrose will be floundering for a while which will hurt his chances at a future push.
Overall I feel Ambrose is the most main event ready of the three. Mic wise Rollins is solid but doesn't have the intensity that Dean brings and the less Reigns talks the better. In the ring Rollins is much more flashy but I feel Dean tells a better story and Reigns still needs to be carried. I love all three members and will enjoy the success of all three but I find it strange that Dean came in being pushed as the strongest member, seems to be main event ready, yet will likely be lost in the shuffle in the end.
So my question to you guys is, what do you think will happen with Dean? Will he be lost in the shuffle? Will he come out looking stronger than he does now? Will the WWE surprise us and make Ambrose the break out in the end?
