Have to give credit to AD and the Pelicans. Imagine if Cousins didn't go down with that injury?

All this talk about Lebron and Ben Simmons when AD has been by far the best player in the league. And it's not close.

Y'all remember a week ago when Portland was considered a threat to be the warriors if Steph wasn't ready to go?

If they make the ECF it’s looks like a guaruntee. If LeBron wants to win, that’s where he’ll go. If he wants to ruin his legacy, sure. But it ain't happening. He'll be a Laker in 18. Bank on that! Simmons and embiid is way more tempting than lonzo airball. I think lebron is the type of nadless prick to go to the warriors. But Philly over LA anyday

The Lakers would give Lebron more contacts to pick up future endorsements or set up his future movie career, not that he really needs them.

It's not about joining an established team, it's ego driven. Plus the dude has two houses in LA. He's prepping for the move already.

Maybe if he brings another couple stars with him to form a super team in LA I could see it happening, but the current Lakers are average as hell. He wouldn’t be winning any more there than he is in Cleveland. If he was gonna pull a KD he’d be signing with the Rockets or GS.

He’s currently the best in the world and #1 or #2 all time. He doesn’t need to do any more, the opportunities will already be there simply because of the fact that he’s LeBron James.

He's coming with Paul George or Kawhi Leonard. Lakers have the cap space for two max players.

Of course it matters. The question is whether it matters enough for it to influence which team he picks. My guess is no.

What's that based on, though? His whole career is based on him being the best player ever and going to a stacked Philly team would severely put a dent on his goal. KD will never be considered the best of all time primarily because of his decision to go to a stacked Golden State. I will say this, thanks to you, this thread has a whole new life, whether we agree or not. Gotta love that.

I watched him leave to Miami to play with wade and bosh. Then when they couldn't get it done anymore, back to Cleveland with kyrie and love. And this year the team ain't loaded and he is a 4 seed, struggling against the pacers. In the 1st round. Bron is what he is. A very talented busta. For that reason alone he cannot be the GOAT. Ever. I can appreciate the things he does, even be in awe. But he ain't Kobe, much less Jordan.

Whether that’s a legitimate arguing point is up for debate, but if LeBron is on a team that’s losing a lot, he’s hurting his legacy. When people see “NBA Finals” and “LeBron James” in the same place, it can only make him look better. Philly is ready to win now, and an LA win would be dependent on hypothetical scenarios. Glad to see the NBA thread more active. It’s nice to have a civil debate on here rather than people being a**holes and mods having to step in. Thanks for not being like certain other members on here (who I won’t mention by name).

I will agree that this Philly team now, with Lebron, could be better than the rest of the league contingent on whether Embiid and Simmons can stay healthy.

Big win for the Cavs tonight. Tough loss for my Raptors. Really hope they don’t get knocked out in the first round. They’ve been fun to watch this year and it would be a shame for their season to come to an end so abruptly.
