I disagree completely. First of all Wade isn't "done". Not the player he was, but let's not act like he's not still a good player. He had an awful Finals, but he was still pretty big in a lot of the playoff games leading up there. Secondly, Irving was being labeled the next Steve Francis last year after having a relatively disappointing season(career lows in a lot of categories). He's got a lot of growing up to do still. Future superstar perhaps, but right now I see him as a second tier star which is pretty much where Wade is. He can't just dribble the ball a bunch and chuck up bad shots while playing crappy D. Lots of room for improvement. Let's also realize that the Cavs haven't made any of these alleged moved either. They still have to sign those guys and very easily could still sign in Miami too. Andersen, Bosh, McRoberts is better than Bennett and Varejao. Also let's not discount chemistry and coaching too. Miami would be deeper with better coaching. Cavs would be a future team with still a lot of work to be done. Oh come on, Wade can't even play the whole season anymore. And yeah, he had some good games in the playoffs but when it mattered the MOST, he crap the bed. I'll take Kobe over him any day. Irving has NO ONE to pass to. Their team was complete garbage from Bennett crapting everything he put up, Varejao and Thompson are decent but inconsistent, Waiters wasn't good at shooting and also inconsistent but he's young. With LeBron, Kyrie is going to flourish and will benefit drastically. I'm not claiming that the Cavs with LBJ will rule the East but they're going to be better than what the Heat can offer. LeBron will instantly make everyone on the Cavs better like he did during his first stint. Kyrie, Wiggins, Thompson, Waiters > Boobie Gibson, Mo Williams, Big Z, Anthony Parker Kyrie Irving has nobody to pass to, but LeBron arrives and they are instant contenders? Can you explain how Irving got worse? The talent there is young and untested and needs to develop. That takes time. The previous Cavs team LeBron played with was a veteran team. Outside of Boobie I think he was the youngest guy on the Cavs. It's not as if I don't think the Cavs will be better in the long run, of course they will, but right now they're all a bunch of kids. LeBron just can't show up and sprinkle magic dust that allows the players to mature 2-3 years. There would be a lot of growing pains. That and there's not even a system in place. Miami is more equipped NOW, not next year or the year after but NOW(assuming the band is back together. Christ, they were just in the Finals.

The only REAL contenders in the east are the Cavs, Wizards, Bulls and Pacers. I am convinced the Raptors were a fluke. Haha.

Lowry is for real, Demar and Ross are still developing and Jonas really stepped it up in the paint. With that said, I AM a Canadian, so I'm a little biased but they impressed me and don't squash my hopes.

Anyone notice that in the article, LeBron doesn't mention Bennett or Wiggins at all? Am I reading into it too much or are they being shipped out.

All reports I've been reading say Wiggins would have to go, but if Cavs get KLove without moving him that would be the biggest coup in recent memory.

Well, no team is going to want to rent Kevin Love for one year after seeing what went down. The cavs do not want to give wiggins up. Any potential suitors can be warded off by Love simply by telling the suitor that he will not resign. Kevin Love holds the power in the situation by being able to opt out. I think Bennett, Thompson, or Waitors and a pick is more than enough.

I think Bennett, Thompson, or Waitors and a pick is more than enough. He doesn't have a no trade clause. Minny can trade to 29 other teams. If the Cavs offer a platter of crap, why would they take it if they can get a platter of crap from any other team in the league? Even on a rental he's worth a platter of crap. The best deal is the one they're going to take. That's why Cleveland if they are serious about getting Love will have to part with quality assets. Besides that players are fickle(see LeBron), just because Love says "I will only sign in Cleveland" doesn't mean that's true. Kevin Love's best chance to sign with a quality team is to be traded. He ends up a free agent the Cavs are out of the running.

I'm officially convinced that the Spurs will win the championship again and they will go against the Pacers in the finals.
Quote me on that.

I don't think there is any way that Love deal happens without Wiggins. I mean that's a big chip but Love would likely commit knowing LBJ will be there for the next 4 years, assuming he takes the max.
I'm just happy this sh*t is over so the rest of free agency can start and they will talk about something else in 2 weeks. I'd like to see Melo go to Chicago. Bosh to Houston and Melo to Chicago would really shake things up and make for some good games, pending health obviously.
The Heat would be wise to be super cautious with Wade this year, similar to what they did at times in the 07-08 season. If they can get through next year with him staying relatively healthy then they can really attack free agency next year and start over. I'm pretty sure all the season ticket holders down here are locked in for 2 more years too because they put them on 3 year deals when Lebron got here. So they seemingly have a year or two cushion if they really need it.

I'm actually somewhat glad Lebron's glad, leaves us room for cap so we can actually get a balanced team. This whole Cav's situation is absurd two number one picks back to back and Lebron? Your kidding..

I'd like to see Melo stay with Knicks pending they can put some pieces around him in the coming years but Chicago has to be very attractive. They're a team built for now and their missing piece is a major scoring threat which Melo would provide instantly.
