If they put RJ on the wing, I feel as if Giroux and RJ could be a treat to watch. But I've always kind of overrated RJ. Thoughts on the Schenn contract? I actually think the first line is going to be Giroux, Voracek and Simmonds. Schenn is slowly becoming a favorite of mine in this team, so I'm really glad he was offered an extension. The kid has talent, speed and heart. That's all I ask in a player.

No idea how it'll work, but it is the Flyers. They like doing stupid stuff and seeing it sometimes work.

If one does switch, there's also quite a bit of time to work on it during camp.

But before it seemed like "We need to improve our defense.... so LETS SIGN VINNY!". And i'll never forgive them for offersheeting Weber and f***ing it up for everyone else As for the Awards, I agree with about half of the choices. But it pisses me off as a fan that Disco Dan Blysma, who is currently unemployed, is a former Jack Adams award winner and Mike freaking Babcock can't even win one despite somehow getting Detroit into the Playoffs yet again with the Grand Rapids Griffins. Don't get me wrong, Roy earned it. But one of the best coaches ever can't win one? Ridiculous. And I'm not even going to get into Crosby winning the Hart. Because I believe Giroux was more valuable to his team getting into the Playoffs, but i'm sure voters look into everything different than I do. Because if it was for a player who was most valuable to his team I'm sure Gustav Nyquist would have gotten alot more votes.

So this should cheer everyone but Pepsi up, which is the point. @taxicabman and I were talking on FB and decided that if the Nucks win the Cup they will melt it.
Lose: Burn the city.
Win: Melt the cup.
Heh.

Hopefully it will also put this whole Weber ordeal to rest, because people were still clinging to that idea. The Vinny signing was yet another example of how they just HAD to make the big offseason splash regardless of what havoc it has on the salary cap. It's almost as if they can't help themselves.

We get a second round pick in the 2015 draft because of Callahans deal.
Penguins hired Mike Johsnton as new HC

I'm hoping to sweet Jesus that Kesler ends up on the Hawks. I'm not sure what's going to happen with the Kane and Toews contracts but I have to imagine Kane is the harder of the two to make happy in terms of dollars right now and letting him play on a line with Kesler would seemingly help the negotiations. I know moving Sharp or Seabrook is eminent but I'm hoping whatever deal they are attempting to work with Vancouver is built around Sharp. I don't particularly want to see Keith and Seabs split up even though the Hawks have a nice pool of young D that can step in next year. A Kesler move would also allow Shaw to move back to the wing, which would be extremely beneficial imo.

Fair enough. When I hear it from ESPN or my local news I shall fully believe it. Bleacher can sometimes have...cred issues which is why I avoid them. But I shall trust you.

Callahan 6 year deal. Tampa is looking good. I can't wait for Friday. I hope Sabres get Reinhart. My brother text me saying that Hawks may trade Sharp for Spezza
