Show us the second one 2 buddy. Whew! No marks on the back of the head.... However 1 spec on the damn front! Oh well, I can deal with #2, but I'm getting an exchange asap for the first one. Are yours neck Flair or no neck Flair

Really though I'm standing here looking at some of my Older elites and there flawless compared to newer elites. no pics, no proof i think everyone expects too much of Mattel to be perfect 100% all of the time, they're only human. So some slip-ups are bound to happen this is not a $60 S.H. figuarts, infact; it is far from it True but Mattel has certain expectations to live up to. I certainly Don't expect all my figures to have missing paint or loose limbs.

Some slip ups is ok but when you see consistent problems in figures than it's not a slip up it just lack of quality control

We pay 25-30 for regular elites in Canada and one thing on every figure seems messed up. This is part of the reason I will not blindly order online.

Mattel doesn't seem to give one fudge. People still keep spending their 25 - 30 bucks on them.

Big time YES! Looking back at old elites and they were all perfect. Nowadays it's hard to find one in the batch that doesn't have some kind of error.

MDT doesn't seem to acknowledge these threads.

Head sits a little low, and the one I opened has a semi-loose head, but it so amazing! I used a toothpick and a magic eraser to get most of the marks off the back of his head. MOC collectors are ed when it comes to QC

They did acknowledge hip joints and they will acknowledge these problems if more people speak out consistently and stop always trying to praise them They will acknowledge the vouchers requested and the decline in purchases and fix the problem if more people let them know this is a real problem

That's interesting, mine has missing paint at the same spot! Seems to be a weak lock.

Im not a picky person and can deal with a few imperfections...but lately Mattel has gotten way too sloppy and doesnt pay attention to the small details like quality like it did in the beginning. I have had almost every figure lately come in with some sort of flaw like messy or smeared paint, loose joints, eye brow pieces missing, splattered paint on other areas. Etc
I am going through tough times as of late, so every figure that I get every now and then is a real treat since I cant buy as often. So $20 is a bit steep for me per figure and not having it come in good condition makes me weary of buying sometimes.

Mattel obviously does make some sort of effort to make sure paint jobs, joint tightness etc are good. This is evident by the amount of "unspeakable" figures that show up on eBay. If you look closely at those figures, they all have paint issues or don't even stand up straight.
Now this at retail is unacceptable, But I think we probably need to remind ourselves just how important we(collectors) are to mattel. They care about kids going in to stores and buying x,y & z. And i'm sure mattel's thinking is that kids are gonna bash these figures together so what does it matter if there is already the odd mark or smudge on the figure when they get it. Like those that have said above that they don't even notice, little kids sure as heck won't either.
