Im curious to try a little experiment of going about 2-3 weeks of not coming on here or news sites and seeing how much more enjoyable the product would be. Im curious to hear any feedback of anyone else who stays away from news headlines and such what they think of the current product. Has anyone else tried this?

I try to avoid it for the most part. I was thinking about doing this myself. The IWC has become so convoluted and pitiful...

I only come here. I don't read dirtsheets (aside from what gets posted here), and I don't seek out spoilers. If I see them, I see them, but I never actively look for them.

It's way more enjoyable, like a 1000 times more enjoyable imo. I tried this experiment with TNA a few years ago and found myself enjoying the content almost immediately. I take the same type of approach with Smackdown by looking at the match listings first to see if I want to watch the show or just read the spoilers. Aside from spoilers, this place, and places like it, will fill your head full of negativity if you let it. As much as I enjoy talking about something I love with many of the people on this board, there are some people on here that need to eat a bowl of sunshine and rainbows and chill the out. So some times it's best to give yourself a few weeks away and just remember why it is you love pro wrestling, because I think there are people around here who have lost sight of that love.

I have become so accustomed to reading about as much wrestling as I can that I would find it very difficult to not visit here, or wrestling news sites.
I wish I could stay away from the news sites, as I feel it would make the product more of a surprise and it would be more enjoyable to watch
But.....I can't stop...

So I think im going to give it a try to see if it freshens the product up a bit for me. I know I'm the same way, I like to get as much info as possible. Its like an addiction lol.

Once, in 2009. Wasn't WWE though, it was TNA. Pretty awesome show. Tara debuted, Raven returned and Shane Douglas showed up. Blew my mind.

I avoid spoilers for major events like Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.

I've been watching smackdown spoiler free for months and month now. Ever since Cesaro beat Orton (WWEWHC at the time) clean and I had no clue that was coming. I marked so hard I want to be able to do that again next time something big happens on SD. And I NEVER read NXT spoilers. That's like a sin.
When stuff before raw or PPVs leak though like "SPOILER MAJOR RETURN FOR TONIGHT" I can't help but look. Sure Jericho and AJs returns would've been so much better had I not read the reports. But still they can always be wrong on those dirt sheets.

Yeah if you're a fan of the modern product I would say try not to read the spoilers.
I remember even way back in the day when I really enjoyed the product it was hard to resist the spoilers cause they were all over the internet. If I didn't know Jericho was debuting in '99 or Taz would be at the '00 Rumble it would've been a helluva lot more enjoyable.

I think the fact that we're even on this site prevents us from being "news & rumor free." I try not to spoil myself from Raw or PPVs but a lot of times things are very obvious. I read Smackdown spoilers just to see what happens cause I'm never around on Friday nights.

I try like hell to avoid spoilers. Then some jerk mentions it in another thread.

I don't read any unless someone posts one as a title on here, and the ones on here are usually really obvious to see on TV weeks prior anyway such as "______ is winning the __ title", it just felt like it always has for me

I try my best to avoid most of the "news" and spoilers for the WWE, I went on a different site for ten minutes during RAW on Monday and I had both Jericho's and AJ's returns spoiled for me.

It's way more enjoyable without spoilers. Just look at crowd's from the 80's and early 90's. They would pop incredibly hard throughout the show, even in a seemingly meaningless mid-card match. Nowadays, people might not respond as well because they read the person in the mid-card won't get a main event push and that upsets them.
I tend to avoid spoilers, but I do end up reading some reported plans, like Lesnar/Reigns for WM 31.

I don't read a lot of spoiler/dirt sheet stuff. Just PWI and that's mainly to check if anyone's died. I listen to the LAW, and Dave Meltzer.
I had no idea about Jericho/AJ Coming in, apart from everyones spam on Monday Night. The fact that everyone knew already kinda ruined it. AJ was a bigger surprise for me then Jericho.

If its a big ppv like Rumble or Mania, or it has a huge match like Elimination Chamber did with Shield/Wyatts, then I'll avoid everything until I see it, otherwise, I'm not that bothered.

Well I try to, but some people seem to ignore the fact there's a spoiler board.
I only go places on this board where I expect to see only stuff that's already happened. You can't get spoilers in the classic board.
I just find spoilers boring.
