I went to RSF w/ the sole purpose of meeting Bill. If you've been following this thread, you know the connection I have with my dolls and he's the reason for it. I told him that this figure got me into collecting and that it would be a huge honor if he signed our favorite piece. He was totally taken aback and asked me if I were sure. I gave him a hell yeah and thanked him for all that he does. He told me a story about how cool it was to meet Macho Man and get his feedback on the figure. Below is a video of some of the figures on display.
I went to Brooklyn with my boys for Summer Slam weekend, you can check out the experience by watching the video on in my signature. Throughout the weekend we met several people The Coach, the artist "Fabolous", most of the NXT guys were sitting next to our suite during SSlam and drank with WWE corporate execs & partners. However, all of that paled in comparison to meeting Dana Warrior. She was extremely sweet and appreciative of the fans coming out. She signed the new Warrior book which should be coming out soon and she signed my Rob Shamberger display collage. That interaction is in the video as well starting at the 5:00 mark. It's probably my favorite signature because of the meaning behind it.
If you've been following this thread, you all know I collect loose figures. I get great joy out of posing and photographing them. However, I've started a modest MOC (that's not totally MOC - but it works for me) collection of Defining Moments. I have so much other cool stuff to show you all, but I'm going to save it for later.
Original Thread
I started watching wrestling in 1995 when I was 9. I can remember watching Monday Night Raw and Superstars with my Gma. She wasn't a fan, however she would record the shows on VHS and would allow me to watch them on Saturday afternoons. My fandom grew as I would go to school on Monday's and talk to my buddies about it. My best friend was this guy named Darren, he was a huge Bret Hart fan. Whenever the WWE was in town, his grandma would take us to the US Air Arena to watch the house shows. All of the superstars were there, Undertaker, Ahmed Johnson, Bret & Owen Hart and my all time favorite, Shawn Michaels.
Fast forward to June 2012. I was aware of wrestling figures, but I had no clue how awesome they had become. The first figure I saw was Mattel's Defining Moment's Macho Man Randy Savage. I knew I wanted that figure, but I made a promise to myself not to go overboard and to only collect 1 of each of my favorite superstars. For over a yr, I've been working on this display. Experimenting with the setup, lighting and which figures were actually displayed. Today I'm finally ready to share my Hall of Fame Collection.
Here is the core of my Hall of Fame setup. It'll feature all my favorite superstars & gimmicks from wrestling. Here you see my favorite entrance, the 3 letter RAW stage w/ a LED lighting rig that changes colors.

UPDATE
If you’ve been following this thread, you know I’ve been a fan of wrestling since I was a young kid. I wanted my collection to be different, by showcasing the larger than life personalities of my childhood, in their element.
The artwork behind the figures is drawn by Rob Schamberger, who commissions paintings for WWE. It’s a custom piece, and it’s 1 of 1. It features signatures from Shawn Michaels, Mankind, Jim Ross, Lita, Jake the Snake Roberts, Howard Finkel, WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, AJ Lee, Goldust, Kofi Kingston, Jeff Hardy and a few of the fans I met during WrestleMania 31 weekend. This June will officially mark my second year of collecting and I’ve finally achieved what I set out to accomplish. This is my Hall of Fame Collection. It'll feature all my favorite superstars, gimmicks and my favorite entrance, the 3 letter RAW stage along with a LED lighting rig that changes colors.
Special thanks to naparo01 for the amazing 90s WWF Ring skirt, it's available on his website.
