ISWF: The Reveal.
The lights dim and spotlights start whizzing round the round arena. The fans cheer and strain trying to get a look at anybody in the arena. As the lights whizz round quicker music starts to slowly build until all of a sudden a spotlight falls in the ring with ring announcer Michael Buffer. The crowd pop hard for buffer.
Buffer:
Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to ISWF: The Reveal! Introducing first the ISWF commentary team. First, a man who knows more about challenging the top dogs of wrestling than perhaps any other. The father of extreme, PAUL HEYMAN.
Heyman makes his way out into the arena and crosses to the announce table, where he takes his seat.
Buffer:
And his commentary partner, a true legend of sports entertainment …
The familiar starting drum roll of Scotland the Brave rings out through the arena followed by the bagpipe chords. The crowd cheers heavily as after a few short moments Roddy Piper steps out at the top of the ramp. He makes his way slowly to the announce table and stands on top of it outstretching his arms and taking in the crowds cheers.
Heyman:
Will you sit down you idiot! Welcome to ISWF, my name is Paul Heyman and I’ll be providing you with the best commentary anywhere in professional wrestling. And if this idiot ever sits down he’ll be talking as well.
Piper:
Heyman I’m excited, aren’t you excited? ISWF is finally here and the Hot Rod is calling the action.
Heyman:
Are you going to refer to yourself in the third person all the time?
Piper:
Hot Rod might just punch you in the face Paul! But before that, Michael Buffer is about to introduce the president and owner of ISWF, you guys at home … you’re in for a treat. What’d you say Paul?
Heyman:
The man is my employer, so I guess I better agree with you.
Buffer:
And now, the man behind all of this, a man that has guaranteed to spearhead a new revolution in wrestling and be at the helm of the greatest company in the history of sports entertainment. DIAMOND … DALLAS … PAGE!
DDP’s music hits and the crowd pop the loudest of the night so far as the owner of ISWF is revealed. DDP appears at the top of the ramp and put his hands together in his familiar pose. He makes his way down to the ring and take a mic.
DDP:
… It’s me. It’s me. It’s DDP. And I hope that every here is ready to feel the bang made by ISWF. We are gonna take over the world of wrestling just like Vince McMahon did all those years ago. As you may have heard, in our main event Daniel Bryan will take on Antonio Cesaro for the ISWF title, well I’m the boss and I’ve decided that match is going to be … TWO OUT OF THREE FALLS. As for the rest of the roster … you want to know who else is gonna represent ISWF. Well you’ll just have to wait and find out.
Piper:
What? Isn’t there a full roster reveal?
Heyman:
I think our esteemed leader has decided on the element of surprise.
DDP:
There will be some surprises and I can tell you exclusively that not everybody on the roster will be here tonight so the surprises are gonna keep on coming. Also tonight, the 16 man tournament for the ISWF International title will kick off with the first four matches. The tournament will continue on our weekly show Monday Night Chaos! With all that said, I think there’s only one thing left … Mr Buffer?
Buffer:
LET’S GET READY TO RUMBLE!
Piper:
We’re going to find out who’s on the roster one surprise at a time Heyman. I can’t wait for this. Man I’m excited.
Heyman:
ISWF is the place to be, even for over excitable idiots like you. We’re about to go to ringside for our first match, a first round match in the International title tournament. And I can exclusively reveal the first match will be between RICK RUDE …
Piper:
AND SABU!!!!!
Heyman:
I said I could reveal.
RICK RUDE VS SABU – International Title Tournament Round 1.
Rick rude makes his way out to the ring first to a chorus of boos. As he climbs on the apron he ripples his abs and gets booed some more. Sabu’s music hits and runs straight to the ring but Rude slides out to avoid any confrontation. Sabu raises his arm to receive the cheers of the crowd.
Piper:
What a way to start off ISWF, this one is going to be great and I’m calling it right now Sabu is going to win.
Heyman:
I know Sabu well Piper and he’s got the talent but Rick Rude is a great technical wrestler and his mat game might just be too much for the high flying extremist.
Rick Rude rolls back into the ring, the ref calls for the bell and the first ever match of ISWF is under way. Rude starts by hitting Sabu with a right hand straight away, and follows it up with an elbow to the top of the head that sends Sabu stumbling backwards. Sabu comes back with a standing dropkick to knock Rude off his feet. As Rude is stumbling to his feet Sabu hits a shining wizard and goes for the pin. 1….2… KICK OUT.
Piper:
I’m not sure Rude knows how to deal with Sabu! This was nearly over already.
Rude rolls back out of the ring
Heyman:
See that’s smart right there Piper. Some separation, time to recover …
Sabu runs and hits a diving moonsault over the top rope to Rude on the outside.
Piper:
There’s no separation against Sabu … you know that Paul.
Sabu gets back to his feet and climbs on the ring apron. He takes a few steps back and hits a running knee strike just as Rude is standing up sending Rick crashing into the barricade. Sabu taunts to the crowd and they pop loud. Sabu pick up Rude and tries to ram his head into the steel steps but Rude blocks it and rams Sabu’s head into the steps instead. Sabu stumbles off around ringside. Sabu turns around into a running clothesline from Rude. Rude rolls Sabu back into the ring.
Piper:
Who needs separation when you got the steel steps!
Heyman:
He needs to keep Sabu grounded now and put a stop to that high flying momentum.
Rude drops his knee across the back of Sabu and then drags him up by his hair. He hits a European uppercut and then scoop slams Sabu. Rude applies a rear chin lock. He holds it for a few minutes, wearing down Sabu before changing his position into a front face lock, keeping Sabu grounded. Sabu gets to his knees and starts to stand up with Rude still holding the front facelock. Sabu gets to his feet but Rude hits a DDT to put him back down again. He goes for the cover, 1…2…KICK OUT.
Piper:
It’s been all Rude for a while now. Sabu’s in trouble!
Heyman:
I told you Piper … Rick is a strategist, he’s just got more brains than Sabu.
Rude picks Sabu up and throws him into the corner. He hits a hard right hand, before hitting some corner shoulder rams to the midsection of Sabu. Rude hits a vertical suplex and goes for another cover. 1…2… KICK OUT. Rude gets back to his feet and goes to the second rope, he hits an elbow drop a la Brett Hart, and then picks Sabu back up. Rude lock his arms round Sabu’s waist and applies a bear hug. Sabu is starting to wain and the ref drops Sabu’s arm once. He drops it again. The ref lifts his arm again but this time Sabu keeps it from dropping. Sabu head-butts Rude to break the hold. Rude rushes at Sabu and tries for a clothesline but Sabu ducks underneath and using the ropes hits a springboard back elbow drop.
Piper:
That was awesome! What a move Paul.
Heyman:
That’s nothing Piper, Sabu’s got whole levels of intensity you’ve never dreamed of.
Rude gets to his feet and Sabu hits 3 knife edged chops in a row to his chest. Sabu throws rude into the corner and runs towards him but Rude hits a drop toe hold and Sabu hits his head on the bottom corner pad. Rude digs his knee into the lower back of Sabu as a submission but Sabu reaches the ropes after a few minutes. Rude drags Sabu by his legs back into the centre of the ring and stands over him with a leg either side. Rude begins swivelling his hips and the crowd boo. Sabu slides back a little and takes Rude’s feet from out underneath him meaning Rude falls forward flat on his face. Sabu gets to his feet and hits a running dropkick to the grounded Rude’s face. Sabu drags rude up but Rude hits another right but Sabu ducks under the second right hand and hits a reverse kick straight to Rude’s face. Sabu waits for Rude to get to his feet before hitting a running bulldog. Sabu signals the end of the match and locks in the camel clutch on Rick Rude. Rude struggles for a minute or so before tapping out!
Winner: SABU
Heyman:
That was a stupid move on the part of Rick Rude. He had Sabu exactly where he wanted him.
Piper:
He got too cocky Paul! And now Sabu is one step closer to becoming the champ.
Heyman:
Hey wait a minute what’s this looks like we’re being introduced to two new members of the roster Piper.
On the Roster two wrestlers make their way out and the crowd boo them when they are recognised. They are Chris Kanyon and Arn Anderson. They get to the ring and Kanyon grabs a mic.
Chris Kanyon:
That’s right. ISWF has signed Chris Kanyon. And I was listening to DDP earlier make his announcements about the championships and I thought to myself … what about the tag team titles Dallas? You see, anyone smart … and I am smart knows that to succeed in a new place you need allies and someone who shares your point of view. Someone like Double A … Arn Anderson.
Anderson raises his arms but the crowd boo.
Anderson:
And Chris Kanyon knew that a former tag team champion in WCW and a founder of one of the most dominant stables of all time the Four Horsemen was a sure fire way to become the first ISWF Tag Team Champs.
Kanyon:
So, DDP, I think it’s about time you came out here and announced the creation of the ISWF tag titles and you awarded to them to us the first tag team of ISWF!
The Crowd boo but DDP walks out onto the ramp with a mic in hand.
Piper:
You can’t just name yourselves champions! Hit them with Diamond Cutters Dallas!
Heyman:
If they’re the only tag team in ISWF then I think they should be awarded the tag titles Piper, that just makes sense doesn’t it?
Piper:
What’s the point in having belts you can’t defend.
DDP:
Guys, you know you’re right … and wrong. I think it’s a great idea for ISWF to have Tag Team titles. But you’re not the only tag team. So right now we’re going to have a match for the vacant tag titles! It’s going to be Chris Kanyon and Arn Anderson vs …. KEN SHAMROCK AND RON SIMMONS!
Arn Anderson and Chris Kanyon vs Ron Simmons and Ken Shamrock – ISWF TAG TITLES.
The crowd pop as Shamrock and Simmons make their way to the ring. As soon as Shamrock gets into the ring Arn Anderson clotheslines him over the rope. Kanyon rushes at Simmons but Ron hits a spinebuster and Kanyon rolls out under the bottom rope. Simmons and Anderson stare at each other as the match bell rings.
Piper:
Tag Team Title Match! We’re only the second match in and we got a title match Heyman … how great is this.
Heyman:
This isn’t fair, Simmons and Shamrock have teamed before, there not a new tag team!
Piper:
I think you’re mistaking them for a guy Shamrock teamed with called Farooq.
Heyman:
I’m not sure if you’re biased or just a moron.
Arn Anderson fits a forearm smash to Simmons and then Simmons returns the favour. Arn hits a knife edged chop and Ron hits a chop right back. Anderson and Simmons trade right hands in the middle of the ring until Arn blocks a right from Ron and kicks him in the gut. Anderson runs off the ropes but Simmons counters into a powerslam. Simmons goes for the pin but Anderson kicks out after 1. Ron tags in Shamrock who hits repeated left and right elbow strikes to a grounded Anderson. As Arn gets to his feet Shamrock hits a knee lift into the mid-section of Arn. Shamrock locks his arms round Arn and looks to be going for a belly to belly suplex but Anderson thumbs him in the eye. Arn whips Shamrock into the corner and Kanyon begins to choke him from the ring apron. The ref admonishes Kanyon who tags Arn to become the legal man. Kanyon hits a snap suplex on Shamrock and goes for the cover again but only gets a 2 count. Kanyon gets back to his feet and hits a flurry of stomps to the back and head of Shamrock. He tags out to Arn Anderson.
Heyman:
They look like a well-oiled tag team already, quick tags and keeping Shamrock away from his corner. These guys could be great.
Piper:
What about the thumb to the eye? Did you see the thumb to the eye?
Heyman:
… I did not.
Anderson lifts Shamrock and applies a side headlock. He hits him a couple of times before hitting a side headlock takedown and leaves the headlock on Shamrock. Shamrock wraps his legs round the upper of chest and manages to reverse and shake Anderson off of him. Both men get to their feet but Shamrock strikes first with stiff forearm blows to Arn Anderson’s head. Shamrock whips Anderson into the ropes and hits a clothesline. Shamrock grabs Anderson’s leg for the ankle lock but Arn is too powerful and kicks Shamrock back into his own corner. Ken tags Simmons in and Anderson gets to his corner to make the tag to Kanyon. Simmons rushes Kanyon and goes for a clothesline but Kanyon ducks and hits a dropkick. Simmons stumbles but stays on his feet. Kanyon gets back up and goes for another dropkick but Ron moves out of the way and then drops an elbow across the back of Kanyon. Kanyon crawls to the ropes and Simmons follows him. Simmons grabs Kanyon but Chris reverses and throws Ron threw the middle rope and to the outside. Anderson puts his foot across the throat of Simmons and begins to choke him out. Arn lifts up Simmons and drops him on to the ringside barricade. Shamrock runs around the apron and spears Arn Anderson into the barricade. Simmons rolls back into the ring and Kanyon hits a neckbreaker for the pin. 1….2….KICK OUT. Kanyon signals for the flatliner but as Simmons is standing up Shamrock hits the ring and superkicks Kanyon. As the ref has his back turned with Shamrock Anderson rolls into back into the ring and hits a brainbuster on a groggy Simmons. Anderson throws Kanyon over Simmons and then hits Shamrock off the apron for the ref to turn and count … 1 …. 2….3!
Winners and New ISWF Tag Champions ARN AND ANDERSON AND CHRIS KANYON.
Heyman:
What a great performance from a great team. I’m going on record now and saying these guys are going to hold the title for a long time. They just outsmarted Simmons and Shamrock.
Piper:
Do we even have tag titles to give them Heyman?
Heyman:
I’m sure they will have titles by the time Monday Night Chaos comes around.
Piper:
What’s next? I can’t wait for more action.
Heyman:
We’ve got out next tournament match! Owen Hart vs Eddie Guerrero!
Piper:
Latino vs Canadian … we’re filling our quota Heyman.
Heyman:
Says the scot!
Owen Hart vs Eddie Guerrero – International Title Tournament.
The cameras flick back to ringside and Owen Hart is already in the ring being booed. Eddie Guerrero’s music hits and the crowd cheers as he makes his way down the ramp posing with fans. Eddie gets in the ring and offers his hand for Owen to shake. Owen goes to shake his hand and Eddie hits an arm drag which gets a cheer from the crowd.
Heyman:
If Owen would have done that this crowd would have booed him out the arena.
Piper:
It’s that Latino Heat!
Heyman:
Its pure fickle bias Piper!
Eddie lets Owen get back to his feet, who looks furious. They tie up and Owen goes behind and applies a rear waist lock. Owen clubs Eddie in the back of the head and hits a Russian leg sweep. Cover. 1… KICK OUT. Owen goes for a figure four leglock but Eddie reverses into a small package but Owen kick out straight away. Both men get back to their feet. Owen pushes Eddie and Eddie slaps him across the face, Owen returns the favour with a slap of his own.
Piper:
Ha! Bitch Fight!
Eddie dropkicks Owen. Owen gets back to his feet straight away and Eddie dropkicks him again, this happens a third time and this time Owen stays down a little longer. As Owen is getting back to his feet Eddie climbs to the top rope and hits a dropkick from the top rope. Owen rolls out of the ring and Eddie taunts for the crowd in the middle of the ring. Owen gets onto the ring apron and Eddie tries for a right hand but Owen blocks. Owen suplexes Eddie from the inside of the ring to the floor. Owen applies a figure four leglock on the outside of the ring and holds it until the ref gets to a 7 count. Owen rolls Eddie into the ring and goes for the cover 1….2 … KICK OUT. Owen goes for the figure four again but Eddie kick Owen into the turn pad and then rolls him up into a school boy … 1…2…. KICK OUT. Both men get to their feet and Owen goes for a suplex but Eddie blocks it. Owen tries to lift Eddie again but Eddie blocks with his foot. Eddie reverses and hits a suplex of his own but he keeps hold and picks Owen up again for a second suplex. He goes for the third amigo but this time Owen blocks and hits a long vertical suplex on Eddie … both men stay down. Owen gets to his feet first and swings his arm for a clothesline but Eddie ducks and then locks his arms round Owen before hitting a German suplex. Eddie keeps hold and bridges for the pin. 1….2….THR …. KICK OUT!
Piper:
That was 3! … That had to be three! Eddie Won!
Heyman:
It was not three. Owen got his shoulder up just in time.
Owen stays down and Eddie grabs his legs and locks in a figure four leglock of his own. Owen writhes in pain and his shoulders are flat on the mat for a two count twice. Owen begins to slowly turn Eddie over until eventually he manages it and reverses the pressure onto Eddie. Eddie grabs the ropes and the hold is broken. Both men get to their feet and Eddie goes for a standing frankensteiner but Owen counters into a sit down powerbomb. He pins for 1…2…THR …. KICK OUT! Owen is furious and begins to argue with the referee. Owen stands with his back to Eddie while he is arguing and eventually turns round into an eye rake from Eddie. Eddie follows up with a head-scissors. Eddie picks Owen up again and signals for the three amigos. Eddie this time runs through the three suplexes with no resistance from Owen. Eddie points to the top and climbs the turnbuckle. He goes for the frog splash but Owen moves out of the way. Owen quickly gets back to his feet and grabs Eddie’s legs. Eddie struggles and tries to reverse but Owen eventually overpowers him and locks in the sharpshooter. Eddie taps out.
Winner: Owen Hart.
Piper:
So close! I thought Guerrero had it for sure.
Heyman:
He took too long on that tope rope. Great match though, Owen Hart progresses. We’re going to go straight to our third tournament match of the night and I believe you have the honour of these competitors?
Piper:
MIKE AWESOME vs BOB HOLLY
MIKE AWESOME VS BOB HOLLY – INTERNATIONAL TITLE TOURNAMENT.
Bob Holly comes out to a favourable crowd reaction followed by Mike Awesome who is booed. The bell rings and Awesome and Holly tie up. In the tie up Awesome lifts Holly off the ground and throws him across the ring. Holy gets back to his feet but is immediately floored by a massive clothesline from Awesome. Awesome covers Holly but only get a two count. Awesome picks up Holly but Bob hits a knife edged chop on Awesome who just looks at him unfazed. Holly hits a right hand and Awesome staggers a little but comes back with a right of his own knocking Holly down. Awesome runs off the ropes and hits a boot to the face of a grounded Holly.
Heyman:
Bob Holly is no jobber but Mike Awesome is making him look like a punk. He needs to create some offence quick or this one isn’t going to last long.
Awesome picks up Holly and sets him up for the Awesome bomb but Holly manages to reverse and back drop Awesome before falling to his knees himself. Holly crawls to Awesome and begins to hit hard lefts and rights to the face until the referee pulls Holly off. Awesome, now a little groggy, stands and Holly takes off the turnbuckle pad and rams Awesome’s face into it. The ref reprimands Holly and Awesome has a cut over his eye which is trickling blood. The crowd pop for the first sight of blood and Holly hits a running forearm but Awesome does not go down. Holly attempts another flying forearm but Awesome catches him and hits a modified sidewalk slam to a chorus of boos. With Holly down, Awesome runs off the ropes and hits a splash on top of Holly. Awesome looks pissed that Holly has made him bleed and he picks Bob up and drags him to the corner with the exposed turnbuckle. Awesome military presses Bob and drops him head first into the turnbuckle. Awesome takes the pad of off the bottom turnbuckle and lays Holly’s face across the exposed metal. He climbs to the second rope and drops both feet onto the back of Holly’s head and drives his face into the metal.
Piper:
Oh my god, that has to be a DQ doesn’t it. This Mike Awesome is brutal … even I wouldn’t want to get in the ring with him.
Heyman:
… He’s a Paul Heyman guy. What else do you expect?
Awesome drags Holly up, who is now a bloody mess and hits the Awesome bomb. 1…2…3.
Winner: Mike Awesome.
The cameras flip to backstage where Lance Storm is standing with a mic.
Storm:
ISWF. Its grand reveal, the night to make all the right impressions, all the shock surprises and the biggest acquisition of all is left off the card. Let me tell you something, I am the greatest technical wrestler of all time, it should be me in the main event wrestling for the top prize but to not be wrestling at all is an insult to me, and a travesty for these fans. But don’t worry, I will be on Monday night Chaos and I’m issuing an open challenge to anyone who thinks they have what it takes to ride out the storm.
Cameras flip back to ringside.
Heyman:
I totally agree with Lance Storm, leaving him off the card was a huge mistake. I’m starting to doubt DDP’s decisions more and more as the night goes on Piper.
Piper:
It’s a big night and there’s lots of spaces to fill, I guess he just didn’t make the cut. You wanna be seen in wrestling you got make yourself seen Heyman.
Heyman:
Well we have two matches left but first let me introduce to the ring. TAZZ!
Tazz makes his way out to the ring to a huge crowd pop. He takes a mic.
Tazz:
It is an honour to be here representing DDP in the ISWF launch show. Now unlike Lance Storm, I’m not gonna bitch and moan about not being on the card because I know when I do wrestle I’ll win and climb up the rankings and no one here is gonna stop me. But for now I’m Tazz, I’m ISWF … beat me if you can … survive if I let you.
The crowd cheers Tazz but before he can leave Vader’s music hits. Tazz stands his ground as Vader makes his way to the ring. Vader enters and the two men stare at each other for a while. Eventually Tazz offers his hand for Vader, Vader stares at it for a while before taking Tazz’s hand. Suddenly Vader pulls Tazz in and picks him up into a fall-away slam positon before falling forwards and crushing Tazz. Vader runs off the ropes and splashes Tazz. He then drags Tazz over to the corner and climbs to the second rope before crashing down on top of Tazz with all his body weight. Vader leaves Tazz a heap in the middle of the ring.
Piper:
What a cowardly attack! What reason did Vader have for that? I hope Tazz chokes that son of a bitch out.
Heyman:
Hey, at least he shook his hand first.
Piper:
I’m glad we’ve got the tournament match of the night to look forward to now to take my mind off it.
Heyman:
Then after that we have the main event for the title! But first it’s ABYSS …
Piper:
… VS BAM BAM BIGELOW!
ABYSS vs BAM BAM BIGELOW – INTERNATIONAL TITLE TOURNAMENT.
Abyss makes his way out first to heavy boos. Bam Bam Bigelow’s music hits and he gets one of the largest pops of the night so far. Bam Bam tags the hands of fans as he comes down the ramp and stands on the second rope to taunt the crowd when he enters the ring. Bam Bam and Abyss circle round each other, Bam Bam runs off the ropes and shoulder blocks Abyss who staggers back slightly. Abyss comes running back and shoulder blocks Bam Bam who staggers back slightly as well. Abyss hits a couple of right hands before Bam Bam blocks and returns with rights of his own. Bam Bam hits four right hands before stepping back and clotheslining Abyss over the top rope. Abyss lands on his feet. Bam Bam dives through the second rope and takes Abyss off his feet to a huge crowd pop.
Piper:
Did you see that Heyman.
Heyman:
I will give credit where it is due, it’s not every day you see a man of Bam Bam’s size dive through the ropes like that.
Bam Bam picks up Abyss and scoop slams him down on the outside. Bam Bam climbs and balances on top of the barricade and waits for Abyss to stand up. Bam Bam jumps off the barricade but Abyss side steps and throws Bam Bam head first into the ring post. Abyss rolls Bigelow into the ring. Abyss begins to choke a grounded Bam Bam with both hands and uses a full five count before breaking. He immediately chokes him again after the count is broken, and then repeats this a third time. Abyss drops his knee across the throat of Bigelow. The ref gets in between them and admonishes Abyss, giving Bam Bam time to get to his feet. Abyss rushes at Bigelow but hits a shoulder block and Abyss stumbles back. Bigelow hits a standing dropkick and Abyss falls through the middle ropes.
Piper:
Abyss can’t stay in the ring Paul!
Heyman:
Even I’m impressed by the agility of Bam Bam Bigelow. He needs to stay on the monster though!
Bam Bam slides under the bottom rope and then hits a running leg lariat on Abyss, this time knocking him off his feet. Bam Bam climbs on the announce table and hits a diving head-butt to Abyss. Bigelow rolls Abyss back in the ring and goes for the cover. 1….2… KICK OUT. Bam Bam picks up Abyss but Abyss kick Bigelow in the gut, Abyss hits a powerbomb on Bam Bam. 1…2…. KICK OUT! Abyss runs off the ropes and jumps on Bigelow so that his back lands on Bam Bam’s chest. Abyss applies a boston crab. Bigelow tries reaching for the ropes but they are too far. He starts to fade but suddenly he starts to power up and stands with Abyss on his back. Bam Bam falls backwards to slam Abyss into the canvas and break the hold. Both men are down and the ref begins a ten count. Bam Bam gets to his feet first. He rushes at Abyss but Abyss hits the Black Hole Slam. Before he can get the pin Bigelow rolls out of the ring. Abyss goes to the outside and tries to roll Bam Bam into the ring but Bigelow sandbags him. Abyss starts to gauge at Bigelow’s eyes and is eventually able to pick him up. The ref is at a count of 7. Bigelow reverses and head-butts Abyss who stumbles back. Bam Bam spears Abyss into the steel steps. Bigelow rolls back into the ring and the ref counts 9….10!
Winner : Bam Bam Bigelow.
Heyman:
That was smart Piper. I thought Abyss had this thing won but I guess brains beats brawns.
Piper:
That black hole slam should have been the end of it Heyman, I can’t believe Bigelow survived.
The cameras go backstage and DDP is talking to someone off camera.
DDP:
… I didn’t know for sure you had signed when I scheduled the main event. Look I get it, you’re pissed, how about this? You’ll face the winner of tonight’s main event for the ISWF world title in 4 weeks at our first pay per view event … how does that sound?
The cameras flip back to ringside.
Piper:
Who in the blue hell was he talking to Paul! We just got a new number one contender and we didn’t even see who it was! Damn I hate surprises Heyman.
Heyman:
If I what I heard on the grapevine is true … that’s going to be a massive announcement.
Piper:
You have to show me where this grapevine is!
Antonio Cesaro vs Daniel Bryan – ISWF WORLD TITLE – 2/3 Falls Match.
Antonio Cesaro makes his way out first to a huge chorus of jeers. He flexes his muscles before getting into the ring. Daniel Bryan’s music hits and he immediately gets easily the biggest pop of the night. He takes his time making his way to the ring, shaking hands with fans. Bryan eventually slides into the ring and the bell sounds. Cesaro and Bryan tie up. They jockey for position and Cesaro applies a wristlock. Cesaro wrings the arm of Bryan, Bryan relieves the pressure by rolling forwards and monkey flips Cesaro. Cesaro gets back to his feet and they tie up again. Cesaro applies a side headlock and then changes position into a front facelock. Bryan reverses by freeing himself a little and then hitting a back body drop on Cesaro. Cesaro hits the mat in frustration before getting to his feet. Bryan goes to tie up for a third time but Cesaro hits a European uppercut. Antonio hits a running elbow strike and knock Bryan off his feet.
Heyman:
Another Heyman guy getting the upper hand Piper.
Piper:
Its early days and I think Bryan’s got the energy to go the distance in this one.
Heyman:
They both have.
Cesaro applies a leg scissors around the waist of Bryan. Antonio hits a few elbow strikes to Bryan. Bryan prises Cesaro’s legs apart and reverses into a knee lock of his own. Cesaro hits a thumb to the eye to break the hold and both men roll away and get back to their feet. Cesaro offers his hands for a test of strength and Bryan obliges. Antonio rolls into the ring then back out to break the count. Cesaro hits a knee lift to the head of Bryan. He climbs onto the ring apron then jumps on Bryan’s chest with both feet. Cesaro grabs Bryan by the legs and signals for the swing but Bryan uses his legs to throw Cesaro into the barricade. Bryan rolls back into the ring and Cesaro rolls back in shortly after. Bryan hits a dropkick to the face of Cesaro. He goes for the cover but Cesaro kicks out after 1.
Heyman:
He’s not going to beat Antonio Cesaro that easy.
Piper:
He’s got a lot more left to give yet Heyman. My money is on Bryan.
Heyman:
It’s a good job you’re used to losing your money then.
Both men are now on their feet and Bryan hits a knife edged chop and Cesaro returns with another uppercut. Cesaro hits an uppercut and then holds on so he can snapmare Bryan. Antonio applies a rear chinlock. Cesaro drags Bryan up and hits another two uppercuts before throwing Bryan into the corner. He hits another uppercut before picking Bryan up and placing him on the top rope. Cesaro starts to climb too but Bryan kicks him away. Piper:
When was the last time you saw such an even match Heyman. Both these men are giving everything and we haven’t even had 1 fall yet!
Heyman:
Bryan’s gonna get pinned soon I’m telling you.
Cesaro signals for the swing and grabs the legs of Bryan. He swings him round 20 times! Cesaro drops Bryan on his back and then stumbles around for a few moments. Cesaro approaches Bryan but Daniel rolls him up for a small package … 1….2….3!
First Fall via Pinfall Daniel Bryan!
Piper:
Haha! Cesaro was too dizzy to kick out … well you were right about one thing there was a fall coming soon!
Heyman:
That was just luck Piper. Cesaro is going to finish this off now, he’s gonna be pissed.
Cesaro gets back to his feet a little dazed and Bryan hits a superkick. Cesaro falls through the ropes and out to the ground. Bryan climbs to the top rope as Cesaro starts to get to his feet. Bryan goes for a cross body from the top but Cesaro catches him. Cesaro presses his above his head and launches him chest and stomach first into the ringpost. Bryan holds his stomach in pain. Cesaro grabs Bryan’s legs and toss’s him over the barricade into the timekeeper’s area and Bryan hits his head on the ringbell.
Piper:
That’s it … that’s a DQ right? Foreign object.
Heyman:
Cesaro or the ringbell? It wasn’t intentional Piper.
Cesaro steps into the timekeeper’s area and hits a vertical suplex bringing Bryan’s back crashing onto the barricade. Cesaro runs back into the ring just in time for the ref to count, 9….10!
Second Fall: Antonio Cesaro via Countout.
Heyman:
Ha! I told you, there’s no way Bryan is coming back after that!
Cesaro rests in the middle of the ring while Bryan doesn’t even manage to get out of the timekeepers area until the ref has reached a count of 6. He just rolls into the ring in time before getting counted out again. Cesaro goes straight to work and locks in a camel clutch. Bryan is still close to the ropes and manages to get a foot on the bottom rope. Cesaro grabs Bryan’s legs again and tosses Bryan into the corner but Daniel manages to land on his feet on the second rope. Cesaro rushes to Bryan but Bryan flips over Cesaro and Cesaro turns into a running knee. Bryan goes for the cover 1….2…THR … KICKOUT!!!
Piper:
He kicked out of the running knee, how did he do that?
Heyman:
He’s Paul Heyman guy hahahaha!
Bryan stands in the corner and wait for Cesaro to get up indicating another running knee. Bryan rushes towards Cesaro but Antonio reverses by elevating Bryan up and then hitting him with a massive uppercut on the way down. He goes for the cover 1….2…THR….KICK OUT!
Heyman:
No! That had to be three.
Piper:
He’s a Roddy Piper guy haha!
Both men groggily get to their feet and begin to exchange hard rights. They exchange rights three times before Bryan blocks Cesaro’s right and uses to momentum to apply the crippler crossface.
Piper:
He’s got the crossface locked in! He’s gonna do it Daniel Bryan is going to be the first ever ISWF champion!
Heyman:
Hang on a minute what’s this, look it’s Arn Anderson.
Anderson gets on the apron and distracts the referee. Bryan breaks the hold to see what Anderson is doing but Chris Kanyon sneaks in behind and hits the flatliner on Bryan while the ref is dealing with AA. Kanyon and Anderson leave ringside and Cesaro picks Bryan up and hits the neutraliser. 1….2….3!
Winner and new ISWF WORLD CHAMPION … Antonio Cesaro!
Heyman:
I told you he would do it! Cesaro is the world champion.
Piper:
He was beat! Bryan had the match won … why the hell did Kanyon and Arn Anderson take out Daniel Bryan?
Heyman:
I have no idea Piper, but that was nothing to do with Cesaro. He capitalised like a true champion.
Suddenly the lights go off and the floodlights begin flashing on and off as Cesaro celebrates in the middle of the ring with the belt. A figure steps out onto the ramp, a figure trailing a baseball bat behind him and wearing a long trench coat.
Piper:
IT’S STING!!!! Sting must be the number one contender DDP was talking to earlier.
Heyman:
NO! I don’t believe this, he can’t just have a title shot he hasn’t earned anything.
Piper:
You heard the boss earlier.
Sting points at Cesaro and then swipes his neck to indicate that he will be his first challenger.
The camera fades to black and as the shows ends with Sting and Cesaro staring at each other.

You heard the boss earlier.
