Great Khali killed a man and hes had a few figures, both were accidents so dont say its different.... Maybe this is why Mattel won't give him Elite treatment!!! Snuka.

I'll ask him if he's been scanned for a Mattel figure next Saturday. Was the ESPN thing all speculation or was it ever confirmed by Mattel? I would be curious to know if Scott has been offered a deal or if he has been scanned. Or just simply "hey when are we going to see a figure of you?!" They probably wouldn't have scanned 900 year old Scott Hall for a figure of Scott Hall in his prime. I don't think Road Warrior Hawk and Mr Perfect went in for scans for their Mattel figures, either.

I have a pretty good feeling we are getting Hall by the end of 2015.

If Jake The Snake can get 3 figures, 2 of them while he was still a drunk, drugged out POS, I bet Hall won't be a problem.

Yeah I'm aware. I just thought that was Mattel's reasoning behind it. But then again that was several years ago, so things change.

Is (insert the overrated wrestler here) signed to a Legends deal? No? Then it's not happening.
Until they do, no figure.
So help me if this question is asked to MDT again...

I just don't understand Mattel's reasoning for not wanting to create a figure for, at the very least, Razor Ramon, a character Scott Hall played. A lot of wrestlers have been made into figures by Mattel. A lot of wrestlers who have had substance abuse issues. Some of them died as a result of it and were given figures by Mattel. Maybe to honor them during their prime. But that's the case, then why not honor the Razor Ramon character? I mean, the WWE did. Do they think that by making a figure from a character that was on air 14 years ago, who did something before he was even famous, that a 12 year old would see in a Toys R Us and be offended by it? Or parents at that. Curt Hennig has had 2 figures created by Mattel. Did they not sell well because parents or kids knew that he died from acute cocaine intoxication? Or where they simply excited to see a figure of a character they grew up watching?
I wish we could ask MDT these sorts of questions.

I thought he was off the table completely because he said during his ESPN 360 interview that he had killed a man. Wasn't this before his wrestling days? or you mean again?

I have no idea, I didn't see the ESPN interview. I just thought Mattel had commented saying that he was off the table as soon as they found out.

I think people seem to forget that just because someone CAN be made doesn't mean they will be. Matteldesignteam has stated in the past on other subjects that they won't make a certain attire for a wrestler because they simply weren't fond of it. Ie; Daniel Bryan's primarily white look with red designs he had during his Smackdown WHC run or several of CM Punks attires. I think someone higher up on the design team took personal offense to what Scott Hall did and therefore as a whole they've refused to make it. Regardless of technicalities it all really depends on what they want not what we want although they have been good with giving us a lot of what we ask for.

Sorry but all of this is completely absurd to me.
Who is Mattel, or anyone else for that matter, to judge Scott Hall based on something that happened so long before his career as Razor Ramon?? It obviously didn't stop Vince McMahon from hiring him or making him famous. Giving him the Intercontinental Championship numerous times. You can dig up a skeleton from anyone's closet. Seriously.
There's zero reason not to make a Razor Ramon figure.

Do we have to rehash all of this everytime a new member joins and wants to know when or why not about Scott Hall?
