Went to the Brodus Clay autograph signing today in Allentown, PA. Curt Hawkins was also there, but unfortunately I didn't have anything for him to sign.... both wrestlers were very gracious & friendly, from what I could tell - Brodus didn't really smile much, maybe that's just him though. The event was alright! Since I pre-ordered my ticket this time - we got to start off 8th in line. Unfortunately - some kid got 7th in line & brought TWO BOXES of stuff for Brodus Clay to sign! I was thinking for sure he didn't pay to get all that stuff signed - but after he went up, the ladies accepting the money explained that he comes to every signing they have with LOADS of stuff - and he does in fact pay a flat fee of $300 for "Unlimited" items to be autographed. This kid was pulling out three WWE Encyclopedias.... multiple magazine prints..... 8X11's.... a Brodus Clay hat.... about 7 different figures.... and then he pulled out a stack of TRADING CARDS! I've gotta give Brodus Clay credit - he signed all this kids stuff in less than five minutes! I was very impressed.... of course, he just seems to be writing "BC" on everything, so I guess it doesn't take that long..... But it was all good - everyone seemed happy, we were in and out of there in less than 1 hour - must be a new record for these things! And I got what I went in for - a pic with Brodus, and my Elite figure signed.... More stuff from The Pro Wrestling Museum.... always a pleasure browsing at the various wrestling memorabilia..... Overall - a great experience, and a great day! I must encourage all to check out Pro Wrestling World sometime.... here's the link to my previous visit/report. forum.wrestlingfigs.com/thread/284873/visit-pro-wrestling-world-allentownAnd now, my Brodus Clay Elite figure has taken it's spot on my Wall of Fame! Thanks for looking - somebody better Call My Momma!

Congrats, FF, and thanks for sharing those pics. I'm still surprised that Brodus isn't with WWE at this point since he seems perfect for the company.

Honestly marked out at seeing Shane Douglas' stuff in there. Thought everyone hated him.

The auto could look nicer but regardless congrats on adding it to your signed MOC Elite collection. BTW who the pays $300 to get unlimited Brodus Clay autographs? I don't see how that kid can even make a profit. I mean, it isn't like Brodus is that big of a star (and now that he was fired it will only get worse).

Very cool that you got to meet him and all but dammit that "autograph" sucks. Just writing "BC" is lazy. I'm not saying it needs to be all calligraphy or anything. But Jebus make an effort.

Congrats, FF, and thanks for sharing those pics. I'm still surprised that Brodus isn't with WWE at this point since he seems perfect for the company. I'm surprised too - he's a big guy, and I've always heard that Vince favors the larger wrestlers. He's also got a very unique look - I'm really shocked WWE didn't try to do more with him - he could have been a good "Monster Heel"..... maybe making him "Funkasaurus" killed the chances for that.... I'm thinking they let him go for a while so people will forget the "dancing fool" stuff and then maybe they'll bring him back in a year or so? The auto could look nicer but regardless congrats on adding it to your signed MOC Elite collection. BTW who the pays $300 to get unlimited Brodus Clay autographs? I don't see how that kid can even make a profit. I mean, it isn't like Brodus is that big of a star (and now that he was fired it will only get worse). When you factor in how much he probably paid for the actual items, PLUS the autogaphs - you are absolutely right, he'll never make it all back - many of these Brodus Clay items are shelf-warming everywhere - his stuff isn't exactly "HOT" right now.... perhaps if he comes back somewhere down the line? Very cool that you got to meet him and all but dammit that "autograph" sucks. Just writing "BC" is lazy. I'm not saying it needs to be all calligraphy or anything. But Jebus make an effort. My wife said the same thing.... I had googled "Brodus Clay autograph" in advance so I knew what to expect - that's how he always signs it. I'm wondering if he's prohibited from signing "Brodus Clay" due to copyrights owned by WWE? I noticed that none of his 8X11's on the table were photos from WWE.... and he's now being billed as "FKA Brodus Clay".... I wonder if he got a letter from WWE warning him to not use the WWE Trademark anymore.... I should have asked him.

I have heard that both Brodus Clay and Curt Hawkins are really chill guys, glad to hear the stories are true about them.

Great get. I would be mad as the wrestler having to sign all the stuff for that kid.

Glad you had a positive experience. I met him at WM28 & he was very quiet. Didn't really say anything to anyone or make much eye contact. But he signed his full name. I'm thinking you might be right about his trademark. At WM30, he seemed to have a little of a better attitude. Maybe he's just naturally quiet?

Awesome stuff.. I met Brodus twice which were both when he was still with the company. Sometimes he only signs "BC" (He signed my Encyclopedia and trading cards this way) and other times He signs "BC" with a few squiggly lines:

He doesn't look very happy... Well, he didn't look very happy.... but compared to this guy who sent his report from same event to wrestlingfigs.com, I'll take mine & not complain....

my son and I met him at the PPW show here last night in Hazleton,PA. he didn't look too happy there either, and wasn't really interacting with anybody.
ironically enough, he won the indy promotion's Heavyweight Title ,and then invited all the kids in the audience into the ring with him (my son included). so I don't know if he was just tired or what.
