Little kids don't buy divas, collectors buy divas

Divas are the least wanted figures. Current roster guys, legends/flashbacks and then divas. Almost every diva has a figure. If you rush everything out at once, you're not going to have anything for later. Divas change looks and gimmicks like 4 times more often then superstars. and your point? Mattel is a multi million dollar company. They're going to maximize their profits at every chance they can get. If Diva figures were such hot cakes and flew off the shelves at a "mass produced" rate, then they wouldnt be making them at a 1/.5 per case scenario. We as fans/collectors dont have numbers to back up our statements but Mattel does. If Mattel isnt releasing them as max rate, that clearly means they're not big sellers. And before anyone tries to argue the "oh but I can sell mine for $XX on ebay", because they're released in a limited number their secondary value is higher, mostly because of scalpers. Secondary market value is a TERRIBLE guide for how much something is desired/wanted.

Little kids don't buy divas, collectors buy divas Same could be said about flashbacks. Also, It doesn't matter who buys them as long as people are buying them(Which they clearly are) I recall there being a long thread of people being upset that Elite 32 didn't have a flashback(MDT later stated Rey is a FB) And you would think they said they are never making another flashback EVER.

Okay, We get it. YOU DON"T LIKE DIVA FIGURES! If you don't like something, stop coming coming into the SAME THREAD that's about something you already stated you don't like and posting that you don't like it AGAIN. I really wish you had to take an IQ test to go on the internet. I consider myself adequately intelligent sir. In fact, insulting me as such just proves you have to resort to childish baiting/insulting to prove your so called point. The first time was serious, the second one was more of a joke, but LOL U DUMB, is a very asinine thing to say to me when I am most certainly not. Am I the smartest around? No way, but I am not some blubbering idiot sitting on my phone, but if you choose to believe that...go for it pal.

Just basing it on your actions(Going into a thread you know you don't like then posting in the thread that you don't care proving that you do in fact care) Do you know what i do when I see a post about something I really don't like? I don't click on it and move along. People spend and WASTE to much of their time overly pushing their opinion onto other who do not feel the same way.

Patience. It will be rewarded. Just not this weekend. Does this mean no new divas figures will be show at SDCC? If so thats really annoying..

Patience. It will be rewarded. Just not this weekend. This reponse made me laugh out loud for real. Short, sweet, and to the point. MDT, your candor is appreciated.

It is simply stunning that Eva, who has done nothing on TV, is getting a figure before Summer.

I'm really surprise there hasn't been a Stephanie figure yet... I mean, we get 3 Vickie Guerrero - but no Steph!? She hasn't really been around in the Mattel years, has she? It was only this time last year that she really started to be involved in storylines again. Combine that with the reluctance to do suited figures, and her needing probably all-new parts because the male suit body wouldn't work... I still think we'll get one within the next year, though.

Secondary market value is a TERRIBLE guide for how much something is desired/wanted. Yup. People always used the secondary market price as their reasoning for why millions of people want a new scale ring. And yet the new one has been out for weeks and is still in stock on RSC. A few dozen hardcore collectors who'll pay big money is meaningless when it comes to how viable something is at mass retail.

Here we go again, trying to compare current sales to aftermarket sales. You cannot get an accurate idea for sales and actual desirability from a small small subset of adults with too much money and not enough common sense. I for one would not pay over retail for the Bellas. Which I didn't. I paid retail because they were reasonably easy to find with how weak diva sales are in this region. Just b/c they don't sell well in your area doesn't mean they don't sell, I haven't seen a diva on the shelves for longer than a week in 4 years

Most likely the only Divas to be shown are going to be Natalya and Eva. Very disappointing.

Do we really need more? Other then AJ, Paige and Naomi I could care less about the Divas. Everyone else is pretty much up to date other then Cameron and I'd rather take a crap on her figures then buy them. Edit: Forgot about Summer, Steph, Layla and Nikki. We need updated or debuts for them. I agree, bring on the Divas!

If you don't like diva figures you really have no point in clicking on this thread now do you ?

Chimel is a ring announcer. Or was. I'm not sure what he's doing. It'd be better to compare him to Lilian. WWE has more faith in Renee than they ever did Josh. She's a constant figure on all shows so it'd be ridiculous not to make her. Im just busting your balls, no harm...i don't think we would ever get a single figure of her though...baf on the outside change. I do feel like she is far on the list though. I mean Lillian was didn't get a jakks figure for six years and even then it was in a bs left overs .5 set. Lillian was actually in the main RA line in series 34

Just b/c they don't sell well in your area doesn't mean they don't sell, I haven't seen a diva on the shelves for longer than a week in 4 years And just because one in every other case assortment does sell doesn't mean they're so popular as to be in every set or even every 3 sets. I'm just trying to have realistic expectations. Also, so many people have full diva rosters on here, so while short-packed they are obviously not impossible to find. I want you to know, I'm a diva collector myself, only Diva I don't have is Beth Phoenix from the first two-packs wave. I love them, but I trust Mattel's market research on this one. They don't sell in mass numbers. And aftermarket values are driven solely by the existent quantity, the existent quantity willing to be sold, and the threshold some people have to pay.

Eh, Diva figs aren't really a huge seller anyways. But I can't wait for a Paige fig. How are they not sellers? Eva Marie's figure sold out within 4 hours.
