I'd like to get your guys opinion on this. As most of us saw last night there is a new stable forming with Woods, Kofi, and Big E. My question is would you guys like to see more or less factions in WWE.
I think it'd be a great way to get guys (who are floundering around doing nothing of note for several months, get one decent feud, then go back to floundering) back to being interesting again. Big E is a great example, after he left Dolph he was doing nothing, became IC champion and was relevant for a few months, then went back to doing nothing/jobbing to Rusev, now he has a chance to be interesting again with a new group. Especially with Survivor Series coming up in a few months, I think it'd be great to have a few factions to compete against each other in elimination matches.
Guys like Ryback, Axel, Titus, Ziggler, Sheamus, Cody, Del Rio, Sandow, Kofi, Truth, Miz have or had all been doing not much of note dating all the way back to this time last year, perhaps even before for some. At least in a faction they'd have some sort of direction, interesting quality that separates them from the pack but for a long time the mid card scene is a mess. I think back to how WWE handled it back in the late 90's, when you had guys doing nothing they got put into a faction.
Mark Henry, Faarooq, Rocky Maivia, D-Lo not doing much? from that we got the Nation of Domination
Steven Richards/Godfather/Bull Buchanan not doing anything? From that we got Right to Censor
The Ministry took a bunch of guys like Phineaus Godwin, Blackjack Bradshaw, and Mabel and made the Ministry of Darkness
Randy Orton and Batista flopping around in 2002 feuding with Bob Holly and Bodyguarding for Devon? Well from that we got Evolution
Do you think any of the NXT guys would have been half as interesting if it wasnt for Nexus?
JBL's cabinet took 3 crappy wrestling personalities in Orlando Jordan and the Bashams and made them look legit.
The Brood gave guys like Edge and Christian a chance to shine through in 1999.
You guys see a trend here, what do you guys think about Factions today? And if you have an idea for a faction what would it be?
