Im and been collecting only for maybe 6 monthsm. Do you tell people you collect? When someone asks me what my hobbies are I dont always tell them I collect wrestling figures haha.
Also how do you afford your hobby? Do you make good money? Some recent ones I bought with credit card to ensure I get them before its too late to buy retail but I always pay off my card quick.

I am 30, I'm from Long Island. When I was a kid I played with my figures. And looking through my collection I would say I have about 90% of LJN, missing a few here and there and pretty much he whole blak board set. I played with my LJN figures. Went on to Hasbro. My collection of hasbros had to be around 95%. Only missing a few from the purple board that set with shirtless M$M and Hogan and missing 1-2-3 Kid from the green set. I am also missing a few repaints. i don't have the black and silver HBK or the second Bushwackers. Then I moved on to Jakks once they started the real scan figures. Also played with those. I start to really begin collecting with Jakks Classic line. I thought and honestly still do think it is the best line out there. I did due to money reason couldn't finish the line. I believe from series 19-26 I believe it ended I don't have. I wish I could find them. I have tired and will continue to try to find them. Given money was an issue once Mattel took over I stopped. But I wil always know what figure brought me back to collecting and the was the Elite Zack Ryder with the internet title. Given I am from LI it was a must have for me. Ever since that I have been collecting Mattel even breaking my own rule which was once you have one figure of a guy unless a major head scan change I was not buying double figures. And yeah that rulw broke in about 3 series after. I only collect Elite and they are all in MOC. I actually just bought through EBay I guess my holy grail of Elite which were Elite series 7 DX HBK and Triple H. I still have every single figure I have ever owned. Given I was a kid my LJNs and Hasbro are not MOC and have been very played with. Hey I was a kid what do you expect haha. The Jakks are loose but like I said I start the MOC collecting starting with thw Classic Line. I just want to say thank you for starting this treas I will be looking forward to hearing everyone stories and hope mine always too long. It has been a great 30 years of playing and collecting all type of WWF and WWE figures.

22, will be 23 on the 28th. I started by playing with my figures in the 90s with my brother. We stopped around 2003, and my brother got back into wrestling in 2009/2010, and with that he started collecting. He has pretty much every Mattel Matt Hardy, but hasn't been around to collect anymore since he joined the military in 2012. He came home from Germany/Afghanistan last week on leave and he saw the new figures at Comic Con and now he wants the Warrior that is in the upcoming Cena/Warrior 2 pack lol. We do talk about wrestling figures quite a bit on Skype video calls.
I started collecting again in 2010, my first Mattel figures were the MVP/Mark Henry 2 pack and Shawn Michaels Entrance Greats. I really liked how much detail went into even the Mattel basics over the main Jakks line, but I still do buy Jakks lots for figures I don't have. Jakks will always be a part of my childhood, and I love them, no matter how crappy they are compared to Mattel. I now have a little over 250 wrestling figures. Mattel, Jakks, WWE or TNA, I collect them all.

I love the CS line but its too expensive on ebay and I cant ever find crap for figures in person at flea markets/garage sales etc. If I do they are all beat up missing paint etc.

Or if the attire is nice. Ive been lucky recently where the lots I've bought have had a lot of Mattel and Jakks figures I've needed. I don't really care about missing paint, because as long as I have the figure I need I'm happy lol

I'm 25 and from what I can remember I've always was into wrestling. In elementary school had tons of BCA figures. To this day the hardest fig to find was XPac. I drove my mom nuts trying to track him down. From there I got into the TTL line. At that point I had friends that would collect and we would go to each other houses and have little matches here and there. Once the RA's came into the picture I totally stop. Was in High School and just focused on playing Baseball and talking to girls. I even stop watching wrestling for awhile. Once Mattel took over I was hooked again. I bought the best of 2010 Randy Orton. The cloth shirt and the Tattoos sold me. I've been collecting again since.
Wierd thing with me though is I don't display them or really play with them. I keep them stored in a big box that I have or in one of my dressers. It's like an addiction. Like I have to have the ones I like. Once I get them I open them up do a move or too and them put them away. I'm the Commercial Manager at an AutoZone. Every month I have to beat the numbers I did last year and if I do good I get bonuses. So I use that money for my hobby.
Also I totally regret getting rid of all my old figures. I wish I would of hold on to them. Could have passed them down to my kids. Oh and the wife is cool with my hobby. She would face time me and let me know if I need anything.

I'm 38. My parents got me action figures when I was a kid from about 5 years old on up. I was really into GI Joe and MOTU. I had a little of everything from Sectaurs to Centurions. I watched wrestling around that time too but never had any LJNs. Igot WWF Hasbro figures for awhile until stores stopped carrying them. Then I got into Jakks Bone Crushing figures and then Real Scan figures and then RA. I don't collect much of anything at all anymore but I do get some Mattel figures here and there.

15 years old
used to collect Jakks figures then it all changed.Mattel took over and I only bought two figures - elite 1 MVP and a basic Jack Swagger - those are now with a friend on this board. My parents got me out of collecting. But then I saw an elite 17 Kelly Kelly and started recollecting!
my first retail figure was the Honky Tonk Man, but my first ever order was for Elite 17 Kelly Kelly, Wade Barrett Elite 18 and Legends Series The Iron Sheik!
Now I own over 100 figures, mainly elites

33, been a wrestling fan my whole life. My Grandfather took me to matches when I was 4 and I've been hooked ever since. Had some LJNs and Remcos, buy really got into Hasbros and Galoobs. Absolutely loved the Jakks BCAs and OSFTM ECW figs. Thought the R3 figs were brilliant, but hated TTL and they led me to stop collecting. So I missed all of the RA and CS stuff. As I had kids and got them into wrestling, I started to notice the brilliant work Mattel was doing and started collecting again in the spring of 2011. I love this line and these are the figs I wish I would have had growing up.
