As many as they want to release! I'll buy every Hogan figure! I bought every Jakks Hogan figure and I plan to do the same with Mattel. Hulkamania Will Live Forever Brother!

I will buy literally any Hogan variation Mattel can come up with.
I really want to see Mattel do a "Rip 'em" attire Hogan from No Holds Barred.

Not many, and it depends on if Matty uses a slimmer buck for his WCW and later run. The mid-80s figure they showed at SDCC is perfect for peak Hulkamania, but Hollywood shouldn't be that large.
Ideally, I'd like to have in Elite form:
White trunks/boots he'd still use on occassion in the mid-80s Mega Powers Hogan (and a matching Savage/Liz) Hollywood (feather boa, bandana, weight lifting belt, and 'NWO' title) 'WWE' long yellow tights/tye dye w/Undisputed title

I agree, Hogan circa 1993 definitely needs a much slimmer build. It will be interesting to see if they'd do this, since Mattel has said that they generally don't like to make guys less muscular than previous figures.

I imagine there is a good chance that, as Jakks before them, they will see plenty of value in Hulk variants. They've certainly done so with Macho Man. The essentials I'd want to see as Elite figures, tho:
Classic 80's Hogan (already seen with yellow short tights and tearaway shirt) NWO Hogan (Lightning tights, though I always preferred the black/white tie-dye ones, with NWO Title) "Modern" Hollywood Hulk Hogan (red/yellow streaked tights, with Undisputed Title)
Personally, I'd toss a modern era "Promo" Hogan as well. It looks like we're getting a Basic one, but I'd like it in Elite, too.
Next on the least would be "Bast at the Beach" Hogan which would neatly double for his late-era WCW look. A pre-WWF figure would be nice, but I'm not betting on it since it'd surely require a single-use head sculpt. Blue tights are a sensible 80's variation but hardly essentially. I'd almost put money on Mattel releasing one of his patriotic get-ups like his fatigues during Desert Gulf. They've got all the parts for it, at least as a Basic.

I agree with most, the 3 eras, 80s, nWo 90s, and the return. But really I'll buy them all

"How many Hogans do we need?" As many as Mattel feels like making.

I'll be good with 80's, nWo classic, and 2000s return.

Spot on man ^^^^^^^^ don't forget: and I LOVE the dude above who suggested the Desert Storm exclusive... the match is on "Old School" against Sgt Slaughter if you want to check out the attire.
