"Defining Moments" can be determined a few different ways. A series of figures in their defining moment of that persons career, or defining moments in wrestling as a whole, or one of many defining moments of ones career. Was "This Is Your Life" really the top 'defining moment' of The Rocks career? No. It was a main one and broke ratings sure, but its one of many defining moments. And i think thats the idea behind the name. But who cares? Look at the amazing figures this line has been given! It could have been called the 'Hey Buy This Figure' line and i would have Others id like to see: Undisputed Y2J w/ titles and entrance shirt Pipe Bomb CM Punk w/ SCSA shirt and mic (probably more suited for flashback but thats a defining moment if i ever saw one)Dude Love w/ headband and rose glasses Gangrel w/ purple tights, cloth shirt, sunglasses and goblet (i want Gangrel damnit lol) ABA Long Hair Undertaker w/ jean vest, sunglasses, bandana, and leather jacket Hogan is a fantastic, pretty damn perfect figure, but i still cant get over how excited i am for a Razor Ramon! Pretty easy to make and since we won't be getting one for the foreseeable future:

This is based on what they released (or what I remember of what they released), and I am sticking closely with my interpretation of 'defining'
I would have rather had a different Hogan figure as the Defining Moment, but Wrestlemania III was his Defining Moment, so I can't really argue at all.
Flair's would have been his win over Race in 1981, OR His win over Rogers in 1979, but I am not surprised they didn't make either of those into figures.
Austin's would have been Wrestlemania 13, the only difference from all other wrestling attired Austins would be the blood. Not worth 25 dollars.
Bret's would be the win over Flair
Michaels' was made as an Entrance Great
Steamboat's would be the title win over Flair
Taker's would probably oddly enough be retiring Michaels at Wrestlemania, but we already have all of those regular Elites
Razor's would probably be Wrestemania X with the ladder match OR the skin tight jeans tucked into boots, shirtless with a denim vest from Nitro, but I am not at all surprised that that one isn't a figure
Sting's is 50/50 between what they chose and GAB 1990. No complaints with what they are releasing, it was probably the right move.
Macho's probably would've been Wrestlemania IV, DiBiase match attire (so basically what they released but with a cape, winged eagle belt, and headband instead of t shirt and bandanna).
Cena's was probably the win over JBL, but I can't argue with the US Spinner, because that was a damn cool belt.
Warrior's was Legends 6, but with 2 belts
Rock's is hard to peg. It really could have been his second or third IC Title win, but it really could have been any given day back in 1997 or 8 since he was on fire back then
Triple H's may well have been the one that they chose. It was either that or the win over Foley at the Rumble, but that would be covered in blood.
Am I forgetting any?

We are complaining about the return of high budget elite figures ? Starting off with the debuts of Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan, Razor Ramon, and Sting I can't even I agree mate I don't believe in thanking Mattel, they make a product, I thank them by BUYING it... But I'm going to break my own rule. Thank u Mattel for trying the DM line again. I will be supporting it.

I am guessing its called that, because its supposed to be a "Defining Moment" in that person's career. On the box of each it has a date/event of what the figure is supposed to represent. Like on Stone Cold it was from a specific Raw, etc. So with that said... 1) Shouldn't Scott Hall's figure have been his WCW invasion, and not just a typical Razor outfit? So we should have gotten a Hall that is shirtless with a denim vest? That was the most defining moment of his career, then they could have made a Razor outfit as a regular Elite down the road or a RSC Exclusive or something. 2) Hulk Hogan's attire I love, he I guess, could have had several diff career "Defining moments" - I was too young to know the big event of Hogan vs Andre at WM3, BUT, for me and many like my age, his career defining moment would have been Bash at the Beach 1996, biggest heel turn in wrestling history. 3) Sting's obviously is fitting and needs to stay that way. WITH THAT SAID, what are some other huge career "defining moments" you can think of? 1) Y2J debut 2) Goldberg debut in WWE? (I know he was bigger in WCW so I would say his WCW championship win with regular black trunks or his cool jacket outfit in his WWE debut) 3) Would be cool for maybe a bloody stone cold figure from his match with Bret Hart 1) Razor entering the WWF was a huge "DM" therefore I think Mattel nailed it. 2) WM2 was a huge DM for Hogan therefore again Mattel nailed it. 3) I would like to see a buzz-cut Sting since I'm sure there is a DM moment when he faced Slick Ric for the title. Other DM... 1) Harley Race during his NWA run as well as King Harley Race run. 2) Nick Bockwinkel during any of his championship reigns. AWA seems to get the shaft where figures are concerned. 3) Ric Flair Starrcade '83 event when he won the NWA title from Harley Race. 4) Early Macho Man or WM3 Macho Man. We still have not had a savage in a robe yet and I think that is absolutely brutal of Mattel! You made a robe for Ric so make one for Savage! YOU! I like you.

3) I would like to see a buzz-cut Sting since I'm sure there is a DM moment when he faced Slick Ric for the title. That would be the '90 GAB. His first NWA World title. As for the '83 Starcade Flair except for the robe that is what I see when I look at the DM figure. And I would love a WMIII Savage with robe.

They're not *THE* Defining Moment of a career but a Defining Moment. I dont believe any of the DM figures that have been released or will be released would be considered *the* defining moment of their career....but they're still a defining moment and the figures are awesome. Exactly as Nivro has said. And I am pretty sure this was explained by one of the Bills few years ago.

Yes I don't look at them as the wrestler's "Defining Moment", but just one of their defining moments.

Some collectors take the name too literally. I'll never understand why people would want a $25 figure of, say, Ricky Steamboat in plain white tights instead of full "Dragon" gear.

For Hogan, I think a bigger "Defining Moment" would be the red/yellow attire that he wore at Bash At The Beach - when the nWo was formed..... but I'm fine with the choice they made, as it represents WrestleMania 3 - which was another of Hogan's "Defining Moments". I can justify the Razor Ramon gear - he's wearing the same purple gear he wore when he LOST to the 1-2-3 Kid, which was a "Defining Moment" of sorts.... it was an awesome angle and totally unexpected - a match that put BOTH guys in the spotlight - and on the road to stardom! Since we're already getting an X-Pac - I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see a matching 1-2-3 Kid down the road, then we'll be able to recreate this great "Moment"..... Mattel kind of threw the concept of a "Defining Moment" out the window with Ric Flair - since he's wearing a combination of attire that he NEVER actually wore, as far as I can prove.... It's not really a "Defining Moment" if it never really happened. If he were wearing the black trunks from Royal Rumble '92 - now THAT would be a true "Defining Moment". Tbh I'd much rather have a NWO Syxx Pac

With Flair, the blue trunks and boots are perfect for Starrcade '83. I would just like to see a younger head scan along with the blue robe.

If I can be "that guy"....I can say that while the Carolina blue attire is mostly associated with Starrcade 83, to my knowledge Ric Flair has never worn Royal Blue boots in the 80s before.

And I'll be that other guy...and say true but Jakks did the same thing with their CS9 (?) and the statue figures. (forget the name of the line) And both those were based on the Starcade match. It's like both company's have their pallet wheel slightly off.

I agree and I love all and own all the figures...but it kinda makes you wonder when the attire has been produced 4 or 5 times and the only ones to get it right were Galoob in the late 80s/early 90s haha
