My Amazon order arrived today, and first order of business was to open Andre and try on the afro - after reading MDT's assurances that the protos were off, I still had not seen a good picture of it on here. I am pleased to report that it actually does look very good in person, and the singlet-less Andre is certainly a nice contrast to the previous Legends version. To anyone who is still on the fence about this one (as I was), I think that your fears are fortunately unfounded. UPDATE: Pics added as per request - I should've thought to do this in the first place. I took them against a red towel to show contrast.    |

People who complain about this figure are silly.
It's a two in one figure. I'll take that any day over a standard Andre in a black singlet.
If you don't like the afro, don't put it on him. Simple.

I'd like to see pics of it on the new BP Andre they plan on releasing. I know the expression doesn't really match the fro era, but it may look cool with the side burns.

I love the original Mattel Andre scan, but the meaner expression of the new one has me sold. |

Its actually really bad IMO as it just comes off as a helmet head or as fake as a Les Nessman Macho wig but the face is one of the best of andre and I would have just gave two separate head sculpts then the afro helmet .
