Batista recently spoke with the UK's Daily Mail to promote Guardians of the Galaxy.
Batista confirmed that he will be returning to WWE and expressed interest in facing Sting. He commented on Sting wrestling for WWE:
"I don't know where Sting would fit in the spectrum of things. I've never even met him. I would hope so. I've been a fan throughout the years. We've speculated a lot, we've thought he was going to come to the WWE years ago so just speaking as a fan I'd like to see it."
He also talked about retiring against Triple H:
"I kind of have my wish list of guys that I would like to work with, because I realise my career is not going to be that long if I do go back just because physically... realistically, I'm 45 years old now, how much longer can I continue...? You do take a beating in professional wrestling. But I love it."
"It's not 'will I go back?', it's 'when will I go back?'. Hopefully it won't be far too long. Triple H right now is the guy I really want to work with. I want to go back and that's hopefully that'll be my retirement program. Yeah, I'll have my WrestleMania retirement match with Triple H."

Wouldn't be too hard to set up Batista/HHH when he returns, I just don't want him to retire at WM 31 if they do it.

I was wondering would retirement talk surface from Dave. GOTG is getting rave reviews and Batista is getting plenty of that praise.
GOTG 2 is defo in his future.....so fair play to him. I would like to see him go out on a high.

I'm actually very pleased with Batista since his return.. Not his wrestling tho, more like his attitude.. I mean, initially (like most) I was pissed at the Royal Rumble fiasco, him not being in shape, etc.. Then he started putting people over, reformed Evolution, and now he's talking about his retirement.. I mean he seems to be in a great place in life and I wish him the best.. I hope he gets to start up that retirement program with Triple H and gets a proper send out.

Batista gets alot of hate from bandwagoners.
On topic, I didn't realise he was that old, he looks amazing for his age. Hope he does retire against H I love their matches.

Its weird to think that Batista is actually older than Triple H. I know, considering Evolution was Triple H building up 2 younger talents for the future but the whole time Batista was older then Haitch, weird to think about |

I've been begging WWE to rehash the Triple H vs Batista feud. So I would love it!!
I would have them bring up the fact that it eats at Triple H that he never defeated Batista one on one. Have both men put their careers on the line. Triple H cheats to win and Batista moves onto Hollywood full time.
But even though Batista wants to retire after the match, people will claim Triple H buried Batista. They'll ignore the facts and use it as an excuse for more stupid shovel jokes.

I'm all for Batista having a big send off rivalry, especially with a guy like Triple H, but I just see no value in him working as a babyface. It backfired horribly last time, it had worn out its welcome when he left in 2010 and things haven't really changed all that much. The guy is just so suited to be a heel, and he's great at it.
