TBH I'm going to miss him he was great with Del Rio and actually he was the reason that got me to take interest in Del Rio he gave him a character but soon wwe took him out as Del Rio personal ring announcer Del Rio never really was that interesting anymore.

It was the beginning of the end of him and del rio when they split them up. It was premature

Not a big loss as he wasn't doing much, but I always liked him as a personality when he was with Alberto Del Rio.

Wait, Isnt he wrestling as El Local on NXT now, I haven't been to active in wrestling, so I wouldn't know for sure. He was. Last match he was in was with Kallisto against The Ascension at NXT Takeover back in May. Hasn't been on since. And rightfully so. He botched half the stuff he tried to do. If he would have gotten himself into shape he and Kalisto could have been a great team. I'll still take Cara/Kalisto any day of the week.

Yeah he wanted the release which is understandable especially since he wants to wrestle now instead of just be used as a Spanish announcer on PPV's. Poor guy, never had a spot after Del Rio/RVD Feud didnt go so well

Sad to hear. He really sold over Del Rio when he first debuted and he added to Del Rio's overall presentation. But at least he's going to follow his passion and continue to work in the ring.

I can respect that. The man has a passion for wrestling and gave up the big money to follow that dream.

That's a shame, but glad to hear he's passionate enough to want to continue working in the ring...

Ricardo/Del Rio was a perfect pairing and should have been years down the road if ever when they were broken up. Ricardo at least kept Del Rio interesting half the time when Del Rio's matches and promos put the majority of people to sleep. But when Del Rio and Ricardo were separated it was almost like the downfall of both men's careers. Del Rio has lost 7 straight PPV matches and hasnt been on another 3 PPV's in between.

I actually hate the way they're using Del Rio anymore. He shouldn't be a world champion but he should be in a solid upper mid card role putting one great matches for the IC title like guys like Benoit, Guerrero, Jericho, Angle, etc did for so long. He's more then a solid hand in the ring. He and Ziggler put on one of my favorite matches in years at last years payback. I'm by no means a Del Rio mark but he deserves a lot better. The worst part is that they'll unsucessfully throw him in the title picture again before they use him properly.

IMO, Ricardo Rodriguez was actually carrying Del Rio for the better part of his career.. I've seen him take some insane bumps too..
I have mad respect for Ricardo.. Wish him the best.

I completely agree, guys like Del Rio, Ziggler, Van Dam, Barrett, Cesaro, Kofi could make for a very successful mid card scene much like the early 00's, however it seems WWE doesnt know what to do with the mid card anymore and most of these guys are just thrown into meaningless matches on Smackdown or the random battle royal that occurs every 3 months. These guys could be having matches that steal the show but instead they're all crammed into 10-20 man matches and get like 2 seconds of spotlight time.

He was entertaining, but I thought him with RVD was one of the worst things in the WWE PG era. Those two just didn't mix at all and I just hated it so much.

Ricardo is such an awesome dude and he worked so well with Del Rio.
Putting him with RVD was rubbish since RVD wrestles in cycles before taking off for his smoke break and Ricardo would be wasted too in such a role.

I wouldn't call it one of the worst, but it wasn't good by any means. The Ricardo/RVD pairing felt forced and was a terrible way to end his role as Del Rio's manager. They complimented each other so well. I kept waiting for Ricardo to turn on RVD and return to Alberto, but alas, no payoff as usual.
