Not sure where people are getting "you have to pay $60 upfront" from.
The new options will be the existing $9.99 a month w/ 6-month commitment plan, and $20 a month with no commitment.

Where is everyone seeing $60 up front? All Wrestlezone and PWMania are saying is "The price point will remain at $9.99 per month for a six month commitment." which sounds the same as it was.

As much as I love the WWE network, if the price raise is true, I'm not going to renew. I'm not going to be penalized because some dishonest people scammed WWE with the Paypal loophole. That was no ones fault but the WWE's, and I refuse to pay the price for it. And even if I did want to, I couldn't pay 60 up front. I have bills, family, expenses.
And 20 bucks a month, while still a good deal, isn't for me. If I had the money I honestly would get it, but I don't.
It really sucks because I've enjoyed the network and will miss watching it, but at least I got the chance to enjoy it for the first 6 months of its life.

They haven't said they're removing the existing $9.99 a month w/ 6 month commitment plan, but they have said that it's not $20 per month with no commitment AND there is a $60 upfront six month commitment. Might be all three.

From the Associated Press article: "and an upfront one-time payment option for its existing $9.99 per month offering (with six month commitment)." So basically they replace the $10/month with $60 up front for six months.

From spam.com Consumer Marketing: To enhance awareness, additional marketing investment is planned around the popular SummerSlam pay-per-view event in August. The Company will also introduce new payment plans in August, including a $19.99 monthly plan (with no commitment) and an upfront one-time payment option for its existing $9.99 per month offering (with six month commitment).

Supposedly in Canada it is going to be a pay channel and not include the classics library. Yikes.

That wording is a little confusing, but I understood it as, we pay a one time fee at the beginning of the renewal, to keep you're 9.99 a month price.
If that's the case, it still won't change my mind. I'm not renewing unless I get the same deal as when I first subscribed. 10 bucks a month, with a 6 month commitment.

I can't say I'm shocked that the number isn't up by much. I can honestly see the number going down once the six months are up. Now there's a chance that once they go overseas with the Network, the number will rise to the one million mark, if not, then very close to that number. I'm loving the network and I recently changed my subscription to automatically renew my subscription. I know they shouldn't release a lot right away, but they've been fast on uploading stuff like the RAW replays, which I love watching, the new shows, etc., but they've been slow on uploading stuff like ECW, WCCW, the Old School house shows. I've said a lot that they need to start uploading more of the ECW, more of the WCCW, more of the Old School shows. I can see a lot of more old school fans from the 70s and 80s subscribing if they knew that WWE was regularly uploading Old School house shows. I remember when the Network first started, we got like two or three old school house shows a week being uploaded. Now, I can't even remember the last time one was uploaded. Same with WCCW. Me being a wrestling fan that tries and learn everything about wrestling was looking forward to seeing the WCCW shows being uploaded, and again, I remember one or two episodes being uploaded a week, and then it suddenly stopped. And I've said a lot that the Network has got to stop putting on multiple airings of the same thing. They gotta stop replaying Total Divas, NXT, Main Event, etc. multiple times, especially if everything that airs goes to the archive as soon as it airs. One replay is reasonable and excusable IMO. I feel if they stop with these replays, they can have more space on the live airings to upload more of everything I've just mentioned that they have lacked on uploading. Hopefully they change that. One more thing, maybe it's time WWE makes a survey to ask us what we want more of and a survey asking people who don't have the network what they want on the Network and what it will take for them to subscribe. I can see that number rising up if WWE does this.

Nope, it sounds like if you want it at the existing $9.99 per month offering, your only option is to pay upfront. I hope that they don't change it, because if they do, I won't re-up... But considering 128,000 people have unsubscribed so far inside the first six months, it makes sense that they want to actually enforce the six-month commitment.

Did you honestly think it would stay at $9.99 per month? I'm pretty sure that most people, myself included, expected it to be more than $9.99 per month at first and when it was announced at that price, I fully expected the price to go up at some point.

I watched a ton of WWE Network this month, but I think I watched too much! I burned through all the original content with only PPVs left. I really wish they would do a live daily show like Attack of the Show used to be. I get what you mean. When I was in recovery from surgery, WWE Network was pretty much all I would watch. Now a days, there are days where I watch the Network all day, and then there are days where I don't watch it at all cause it burned me out. That's pretty much why haven't watched the new shows live other than NXT. I use the days I decide to watch to catch up.
