It sounds pretty good though if it's £40 for 6 months... especially if we get all the PPVs too - works out about £6.66 a month (just over $10). One forum was saying about sky having exclusive to the ppvs ,and might be a delay on showing on the network uk,not sure if true Yikes... that would not be good - I could see a lot of UK people just subscribing to the U.S. version if that were the case. The whole WWE/Sky deal (and working relationship) is why I thought The (UK) Network might be a joint venture or Sky channel... I mean, they've just signed a FIVE year deal to show the PPVs exclusively on Sky - so surely the WWE can't now undercut Sky or show them on another platform?

The WWE Network will reportedly launch in the UK on October 1. However, the UK version of the WWE Network is said not be getting much promotion in the UK at all.
Fans are reporting that only generic online ads are currently running for the network’s launch. In addition, Sky has provided little information on the WWE Network to fans. This is surprising, considering the UK is such a big market for the WWE.
According to reader Richard Davies, Sky sent the following response when he asked a question about the network:
Hi Richard, the WWE Network will be available from next month and is a subscription internet service. We will not be providing it on Sky. Thanks – Amber
Atleast we know one thing about it now, it's not on Sky

I'd like to know how we actually get it, pretty poor of WWE to not actually keep us in the loop/promote it.
I guess we'll find out on Wednesday. At least IRS not run in conjunction with sky, that wouldn't have been great.

Hopefully Cole says something Monday about it. If not, I'll be waiting to see if the app on my Xbox One pops up in the store on Wednesday.

I mean, in the US it was MUCH less ($10 instead of $50ish). If it's a deal with Sky (ie. a TV channel), I think it will probably be £9.99 for a 6 month commitment (to keep with the whole 9.99 thing)... and £12.99 per-month (without commitment). £6 (the equivalent to their $9.99) would be fantastic though...

I signed up for the WWE Network when it launched in the US. Why don't you guys just do that? Just used a US name & address fake generator for the details then used my normal e-mail address & paypal account for the payments. Not had a single problem. Think it's what most people in the UK did to get it. Just use a proxy to watch it then or anything else that alters your DNS settings.

Yeah hopefully you're right...but I think I'm right in saying that USA get Raw and Smackdown on 'Freeview' like channels. We have to pay for Sky Sports to watch WWE, so when the network comes along will Sky Sports stop showing content, will it only be on the network? If so that could potentially lose them Sky Sports subscribers so I could see it being where it is an additional channel for say £6, but you have to also have Sky Sports in order to get it. So if you don't have Sky Sports you end up paying like £25-30 a month, not sure if I'm making sense here lol

I might go the US route if I'm not keen on the UK version (...I'd probably buy an cheap X-Box or PS3 - and no doubt need a bit of help from the fine folk on here about setting it up etc... ). I already PM'ed you months ago with info. It's all still relevant. Could you send me the details? Is it legit?

I wanna get the proper UK version but I might end up being swayed to go the US route. You would think they'd have it sorted before the November tour so they can promote the hell out of it when they're over here.

I tried the US version during the free-trial period and had a lot of buffering/streaming issues... some things wouldn't even play at all! (I have quite a good internet connection and have no problems playing YouTube and other streaming things). Plus, I want to watch The Network on my TV, so I'd have to buy an X-box or something (which I don't particularly want!). So a no-hassle TV channel... "The WWE Channel"(!) would be perfect for me. Yeah hopefully you're right...but I think I'm right in saying that USA get Raw and Smackdown on 'Freeview' like channels. I think a lot of people who follow WWE already have Sky/Sky Sports, so it would only be an extra £6 (or however much it costs)... which is fine if you watch a lot of other sports too. But if you only have Sky Sports for WWE, then it doesn't seem such a good deal - and would probably put off "new" Network customers. Maybe they'll make it available as a separate channel/payment (ie. no other subscriptions required), so that all you need is a Sky/Virgin/BT box and however much The Network costs...?

They'll have a date by UK tour and will be booed out of the building whenever it's mentioned to the live crowd, can see it already
