Cast reunited for latest edition of Entertainment Weekly. Needs more Louis Tully. something tells me they tricked murray into putting on that jacket.... ernie hudson is the tops I wouldn't doubt it. The Ghostbusters logos look to be added using Photoshop in post.

I mean at this point, they all might as well be involved with the new movie. If it's going to happen either way then I'd rather have them be there and making an appearance.
I'll definitely pick this up, but this reunion is one comedic genius short, and about 20 years overdue.

This movie is just the latest proof that nobody in Hollywood has an original idea. Everybody today seems to be pulling old franchises out of the dead and trying to infuse them with ideas they think are new and artistic but in reality crap that makes no sense to the franchise.
Just let ghostbusters die. We got 2 movies, a cool cartoon show, and a video game. They don't need to cast some overrated snl cast members for a lame reboot.

That's the tragedy of it though man, they're not going to let something worth so much money die until they run it into the ground. Reitman even said during the interview on the 30th Anniversary BR to definitely expect a new movie. Akryod said there are 3 scripts in play, 2 of which he wrote, and with Paul Feig recently confirmed to direct I think it's happening no matter what now. I honestly think this is the kind of mentality that kept Bill Murray away for so long. I think that's why he was willing to do the video game versus another movie because that was an all Akroyd and Ramis creation the way they wanted it done, and it was fantastic and genuine. My best hope at this point is that they go the way of Star Wars. Use the original cast to make the transition. Let the changing of the guard feel more organic, versus forcing a straight reboot on fans who will definitely be resistant to that idea. I'd love to see a new film pay tribute to Ramis and the Ghostbusters in general. Something that can put a cap on what has been an incredible 30 year legacy, but will move forward to live on in a new capacity for years to come. Ghostbusters is about to officially become a franchise, in the way of a Star Wars, Turtles, or Star Trek. We don't have to like it but I'm of the opinion it's better to either embrace it or ignore it because we can't stop it from happening. I thought the new Turtles movie was a heaping pile of cow sh*t, but it didn't go back in time around crush my childhood. I still have the memories, those movies on BR, that complete cartoon on DVD, and all the toys to go along with it. Plus, we ended up with a damn good new cartoon for an entirely new generation of fans. As a massive fan of Ghostbusters, I wouldn't be against a similar situation for that property. When I get around to having kids, I'd like for the Ghostbusters to be out there in the current universe for them to enjoy. Sure, I can show them the older films and cartoon that I grew up loving so much, which is what I did with my nephew, but it's so much easier for them to understand if they wake up on Saturday morning and that theme song is blasting.

The GB video game would've made a great third movie, in all honesty.
I wish they would've gone with that script.

Why don't they just call it "Ghostbusters 3: Fat Chicks"?

Never heard of her, but I don't particularly want a fat skank as a Ghostbuster.

I love her, so, so much. that. I love Pitch Perfect, I think it's hilarious, but Wilson is just the Australian version of McCarthy. "Look how fat I am! LOLZ!" No thanks. She was in Bridesmaids too though, so it's probably happening.

I'm all for Emma Stone being a Ghostbuster because her looks and personality are perfect for the role but...one funny fat chick is enough. We don't need McCarthy and the other one.

If Rebel Wilson is chosen to be part of the crew, it's a massive mistake. I try to be good about not forming an opinion until I see the finished product, but this is bullish*t.

I just saw on the local news that apprently Jennifer Lawrence has met with the producers. If that happens at least the looks scale is tipping upwards. And I def know who I'm gonna call-though she'd never answer.

And I def know who I'm gonna call-though she'd never answer. I think this move is a valiant effort to get people on board with the idea of the all female cast. It's a hard enough pill to swallow, but without Bill Murray, and without at least one universally liked actress like Lawrence, you're setting yourself up for disaster. Ghostbusters is a big time property and they've already pissed off 70% of the fans with the idea, maybe more. Someone like JLaw is needed imo. I'm sure there are people who don't like her, God even knows why, but she's obviously America's sweetheart right now. I'm at odds with the idea. I absolutely love Jennifer Lawrence. I absolutely hate the idea of what they're doing with Ghostbusters. I"m seeing it either way. So if they are going with this idea, I'd rather have her in it, than not.

She's one of my top actresses of today. And I have always been a huge fan of Ghostbusters. The Real Ghostbusters was IMO one of the greatest animated shows.I'd place it next to Batman the animated series.....I honestly think they went with an all female concept to try and protect themselves.....I think they realize since its a reboot that any new set of four male leads is going to be crucified like heck-especially if it flops...at least with this concept people will be a little more intrigued and maybe a little less outraged....

I find Jennifer Lawrence to be completely over rated, and have even less interest in this if they seriously include her.

Yeah, I get the reboot philosophy with making it so different you can't compare, but if you look over at Star Wars, I think that's the blueprint. GB3 isn't really GB3 if there isn't a transition film. Otherwise, they need to just make it VERY clear this is a complete reboot, like GB1, GB2, and GBTVG don't exist in this new world. Even then, they need to almost prepare for a Superman Returns kind of reaction imo. To me, an all female cast is like remaking Backdraft with all women. Feig is also being a total assh*le in his response to the fanbase as well so far. Kind of a "this is my movie, keep crying" kind of response so far. Which reminds me a ton of how Josh Trank has handled the new F4, which I won't be seeing. I completely agree about Real Ghostbusters, brilliant cartoon and one of my all time favorites, both as a kid and an adult.

Def. A bad move and arrogant of Feig if he's coming out swinging at the fanbase. It reminds me of how the creators of ' The Batman' series basically came right out and said that they're show was not going to be for guys living in they're parents basement....how nice a gesture towards loyal fans that have loved and spent money for years on the subject of your project-and pretty much the reason they even have a job... Why come right out and throw rocks when you're already on shaky ground?? .....Jerry Lawler always put it best. 'Always make sure you're words are soft and sweet, cause you might have to eat them later.'

Yeah Feig is suffering from a touch of Trank/Jordan syndrome.....no doubting it.
