But on to the topic.
Wrestlemania 7- Savage/Warrior
Wrestlemania 8- Savage/Flair
Wrestlemania 11-Michaels/Diesel although Bam Bam/LT was pretty good despite not expecting much.
Wrestlemania 13-Hart/Austin or Hart/Taker for the title. I would basically have the Summerslam main event at Wrestlemania. HBK and all. Taker/Vader would be a viable option too.
Wrestlemania 2000- Triple H/Rock
Wrestlemania 18-Rock/Hogan if they can't book Austin/Hogan.
Wrestlemania 22- Cena/Edge
Wrestlemania 25-HHH/Orton HIAC or Cena/Edge in a gimmick match. If you can't do those then HBK/Taker
Wrestlemania 26-Batista/Cena or Edge/Jericho with Edge going over.
Wrestlemania 27- Cena/Punk, Orton/Punk or Cena/Orton/Punk/Sheamus in a fatal four-way.
Wrestlemania 28-Triple H/Undertaker or Punk/Jericho. But this is understandable.
Wrestlemania 29- Punk/Taker, Punk/Rock, Punk/Rock/Cena, or Punk/Cena. Basically just get Punk in the main event. He deserved it and being there live I can tell you he was the most over guy on the show and was being HEAVILY cheered over Taker. It doesn't come across as prominently on the broadcast but I cannot fathom enough how much the crowd was split. They were still cheering for Taker but that crowd wanted Punk to win and without Paul Bearers death I firmly believe he would have. Either way how should have been in the main event.
Yes to Orton/Taker. When Orton turned the chokeslam into an RKO I thought it was all over. I can honestly say that Orton and Batista were the only 2 guys I felt would defeat Taker at WM since the brand extension in 2002. I never once felt Edge would defeat him, especially since they went on last.
No doubt about that bro. I've never reacted like that since. I jumped up like my god! How they didn't use a spot like that for a finish I'll never understand.
Edge was VERY predictable due to going on last. Thats one gripe I have with mania. If its the main event you can basically always not watch the match and know who won.
The only time I thought the streak would end after Orton was Punk but once Paul Bearer died I knew that wouldn't happen which is sad considering Punk deserved SOMETHING that year and they put on the best streak match since Mania 25 and THE last great streak match.
