So they build up this guy as a ::shudder:: monster heel (i really despise that term) as this ultimate anti-american, evil foreigner, classic old school style villain. then they turn Swagger, who had been a bland, boring, vanilla heel his entire WWE career until he got a manager, an actual gimmick, and the best theme of the last 5 years easily, into this pro-america, ultra mega super awesome ass kicker good guy they fight a little, interrupt each others matches, have this "flag pride" running wild....which leads to a flag match which the russian wins i just dont get it See Yokozuna v. Lex Luger. Countout Victory is A-Ok for the USA. It's like the Rock v. Hurricane, where Hurricane won. Meant nothing to the angle, and was the blow-off.

Apparently on Main Event this week they set up a thing between Swagger & Rollins... not even kidding so random Spoilers below regarding this On Smackdown they continued to set up Swagger vs Bo which is pretty cool, I think it'll be enjoyable. Also, whole different topic but on Main Event it appears they're setting up a Cesaro vs Sheamus feud, that's gonna be sick! They already tried Sheamus-Cesaro. Decent match Bull ending when Sheamus beat Cesaro for the US title with a....small package roll up..... What the was WWE thinking with that ending?

In this story, Swagger is Apollo Creed in Rocky IV. Swagger coulda been one of said "big guns" had they put him over Rusev. If they kept building him like he was being built there for a moment, I could've easily seen him being a credible threat to Lesnar. All this work just to have him fed to Cena. Cena needs that win like I need a hole in the head.
