This is something that has bothered me, and maybe it's been discussed before,or more than likely like anything critical has been swept under the proverbial rug, but why does every mattel figure have lips that match their skin respective skintone?

Because they used the paint budget to actually include logos on the back of trunks.

Let's be honest, anyone displaying Jakks figures doesn't care at all about the figure looking lifelike, unless they're living in the balloon body T-rex arms parallel dimension. So I guess we're still waiting on some 100% lifelike wrestling figures.

I don't mind at all. It sounds like you need to go buy some paint and fix the "problem" yourself. I hope Mattel never includes lip color in their budget.

So you'd rather have painted lips than a completely accurate attire?

Screw painted lips, when are we gonna get lifelike nipples? Yes finally! Maybe some accurate bulges too, I know they say wrestlers take steroids resulting in "shrinkage" but this is ridiculous!

Painted lips and the little white dots in the eyes really do make the head sculpts pop.
I wish Mattel would paint them, but if you've got some paint, a toothpick and a steady hand, you'll be alright.

They used to back in the first year of production. It was such an insignificant detail that most people would probably be surprised when they discover that. Which means it was never important. I'd much rather have as complete a detailing on the trunks and tights, and accurate boots, and so on...

Wow. I'm ashamed to say I'm reading a debate on nipples and lips on plastic toy wrestlers.
