If a person claims to be a wrestling fan and doesn't have the Network, it just blows my mind. I understand it might be a money issue or having no way to watch it, but if they have the means to get it and they don't have it... it's just crazy to me.
As an example, take Tito from the Lords of Pain site. If you read his columns, he's very adamant about NOT getting the Network to try and prove a point. He's been saying for months now that if you give the 'E your money then you accept everything they put out whether you like it or not. BUT, my gripe is the fact that it doesn't stop him from going to his friend's house who has the Network and watching the PPVs.

I saw the first episode after Raw last month (I believe?), and I really enjoyed it. I rewatched it tonight, just because I think it's so interesting. That era was so great to be a wrestling fan. It's a shame I was 3 months old when Nitro debuted. It's available on demand as well. was just going to post this. also, the third episode premieres next week as well, Wednesday at 4:00PM. What about the second?

Didn't catch it tonight but I'll definitely give it a watch when I get the chance.

Im curious to see what exactly it will be to be honest, if it is a week by week recap sort of thing, a week dedicated to a certain aspect of the monday night wars, or what. I saw the first episode but wast that just the same one they showed a month or two ago? I wanna see what format it will be because I doubt it follows the first episode, there wouldnt be enough material to cover that many years each week. The thing they showed a month or two ago after Raw was actually just the old Monday Night Wars DVD.

I dunno I wasn't that big of a fan of the first episode. Perhaps it's just because I've heard the Monday Night War story played out so many times and the WWE is largely incapable of telling it unbiasedly.

The DVD goes through the purchase of WCW and aftermath, while the episode ended early in the war.

Was this the same thing as the original documentary released a year ago or whatever? I noticed Punk in it.

BUT, my gripe is the fact that it doesn't stop him from going to his friend's house who has the Network and watching the PPVs. The cost of the network is cheaper than ordering an In Your House PPV in 1995. The $14.95 anybody spent on ordering the first In Your House PPV is $23.37 now. This is a price difference of $13.38. To put this into a perspective, the $9.99 price for the network is enough to give you transportation for two days of work here in New York City. The WWE WANTS the network is swim. Series like Countdown, WrestleMania Rewind, and the Monday Night War gives us something we would never see on DVD. The fact that we are going to see Nitro on the network soon tells you why people should be signing up. The Monday Night War series seems to be taking a more neutral approach to the war. The DVD seemed to be a burial of WCW.

WWE issued the following press release to ProWrestling.net on Tuesday.
WWE Network will premiere episode two of the new WWE Network original series "The Monday Night War" - tonight - Tuesday, August 26, at 9/8C.
The "Monday Night War" is a 20-episode original series documenting the epic television ratings battle between sports entertainment icons Vince McMahon and Ted Turner. On Monday nights in the 1990s, Turner's World Championship Wrestling and McMahon's Monday Night Raw aired head-to-head in primetime, defining a power struggle that rewrote the rules of television, and forever changed the face of sports entertainment.
Bandit - WWE Network will "preview" or "premiere" episode three on Wednesday, August 27 - 4:00 pm ET-5:00 pm ET. There will be a "premiere" or "repeat" later that evening - 9:00 pm ET-10:00 pm ET. Episode Three - Vince McMahon leads a company-wide change in a direction that nets the company its greatest ratings to date.
If you want to watch all three episodes in a row via the "LIVE" stream on the WWE Network - they will be shown back to back to back on Friday, August 29 - 3:00 pm ET-6:00 pm ET, 8:00 pm ET-11:00 pm ET and 11:00 pm ET-2:00 am ET.
Looks like the plan is to show two episodes a week with the first one being shown on Tuesdays and the second one on Wednesdays. So if this is the case, the series will be over the first or second week of November.

The first episode of "Monday Night Wars" was shown on a Friday night during a special free preview week either in June or July. It was only shown once on the WWE Network and wasn't available via the on demand listings. So if you missed it "LIVE" - you were screwed although some people were able to capture/save the link and watch it at their own time.
If you missed the first episode - "The War Begins" or the second episode - "Rise Of The NWO" - you can access them at any time via the front page "Orginials" area. The third episode which premieres later today will be up there after the first showing ends at 5:00 pm ET. Or if you like watching them via the "LIVE" stream - you can watch all three of them in order on Friday at the times I listed in the previous post.
The show that aired last month - Monday, July 14 - after Monday Night Raw ended turned out to be a "Beyond The Ring" special. I think the confusion here may be that it was promoted at one time as a look at the "Monday Night Wars" instead of a "Beyond The Ring" special. It consisted of segments from the two "Best Of Monday Night Nitro" DVDs/Blu-Rays that are out there. It was only on for an hour. You can access this on-demand via the "Beyond The Ring" section - located in the "Orginials" area.

It's awesome that they are adding it, and I look forward to watching it. But I am letting my network sub expire for a while. I already pay for Amazon Prime, Netflix, and a few other monthly services. I have already watched almost all of the classic stuff on there that I want to right now. Most of the PPVs I was only watching because I had already paid for them. I will re-sub again later once they have added more back catalog stuff or when there is a PPV I am really interested in. Night of Champions isn't cutting it really.

I love the show + I love the network = I'll eat stale cornflakes for dinner before I let the subscription run out.
