This seemed to be a problem with a few of my Legends figures (Rick Rude & Terry Funk) and now the new Mankind. Basically the legs can bend to a horizontal sitting position. Every time i try & bend the legs up they snap back, thus not given full articulation. I may need to upload a video to show what i mean because i don't think I've explained this well lol!!
Anyone else have these problems with Mankind & older elites?

That sucks. I've had that problem before, I normally microwave some water for 4-5 minutes and soak the figure in it.

Not with Mankind, but every Legends figure and CM Punk suffered from that. So as soon as I opened and took my pics of them I would run them under hot water for 2-3 minutes so the hips/legs could move without the stems twisting. Then I would put them in a seated position and left them like that for 24 hours. And they haven't had an issue since.

Both of my Mankind's are like that as well but I only display my figures so I didn't bother using the hot water trick (which is almost guaranteed to work if done correctly) I'd also say that the shirt might restrict movement regardless..at least on mine it seems that way.

That happened with my honky tonk man and Punk.
I runned punk in hot water and it's fine now.

My Mankind is the same, and a lot of my older elite style figures. WM26 Swagger is the worst, Rick Rude is really bad, elite 6 Goldust, and various others. The hot water trick has only worked temporarily for me.
Quite a few of my elites from around 2011 or so -- particularly a few Kofi Kingstons and CM Punks -- also have a weird problem where the legs are kind of wobbly, as though they aren't set right, and they're a bit unstable standing up.
My RSC SES CM Punk has both of these problems, if I remember correctly.
Road Dogg's leg articulation is perfect. Not too stiff, not too loose, stable, works brilliantly. It's bad that I actually get excited by a figure not having any articulation issues. Way too many Mattel figures have dodgy arms, waists or legs.

The hot water trick worked for my elite 2 Batista, but not for Elite 4 Finlay and Elite 21 HTM. The problem would solve itself if they'd switch to ball joints for all their figures. The sleeve and socket joint always seemed a little roundabout in achieving what a ball joint could do more gracefully with less parts.

The only problem I have with the Mankind figure is the cheap plastic used that weighs about 2 ounces.

My Mankind is the same way. It feels like it'll snap if I move the right leg anymore, so I just let it be.

I got a pimp limp variant Mankind exclusive!!!!! FFS this make 3 out of the last 7-8 figures to have this problem. Its absurd. Already emailed Mattel though. Does anyone know why this problem is occurring?

Put them in hot water for a minute. It should loosen it up a bit.

So weird. My Rick Rude and Honky are like this too. I figured mankind was just limited because his shirt goes down a tad too far.
Honkys one leg has a break in it now though and will fall off if I play around with it. So he's solely for display.
