Not that keen on Yellowjacket's look there actually, though I guess his conventional costume wouldn't really fit in a movie. I think the Hulk was well portrayed in the Avengers, but I didn't like Ruffalo as Bruce. Norton knocked it out of the park. I prefer Ruffalo myself and wish he'd get a standalone film as Hulk

Personally I think Ruffalo made a better Banner. Came across as a real nervous and haunted man. And fit the scientist role better. I love Norton, but he just didn't seem right to me for some reason I can't put my finger on.

I think their strategy of using him as a special attraction will make him a lot more appreciated than a stand alone movie. I'm gasping for the AOU to roll around.....GASPING. And after that SUPERB mid season finale on AOS?I cant wait to see how AOU ties in here......its going to be f*cking great.

Wow, I love Vision's design. I was half expecting it to be more like this:

I knew he wouldn't have his green/yellow costume, because it wouldn't really be appropriate for a movie. So I was expecting the plain look. Pleased that they kept the theme of his original costume and used more serious colours. It's not exact, but it definitely looks to be based on the original costume.

Banner isn't sarcastic and ruffalo played a version that was basically tony stark light. Norton's version was much more cautious and feared his inner demon. I enjoyed ruffalo but would have loved to have seen Norton grow to accept the monster within him.

over the course of my MCU marathon I had to stop to admire The Incredible Hulk. It doesn't get near enough praise for my liking. Totally underrated. I also prefer the way the Hulk looks here to The Avengers. Also its no secret I preferred Norton to Ruffalo for Banner. Agreed 100%. I like ruffalo but he was basically tony stark light. Norton was much closer to the source material and I would have loved to have seen his version of the character continue to grow. He is a legit big hulk fan and its a shame Norton and marvel had a falling out.

Sure is.But when LL had to lock him out of the editing suite because Norton(incorrectly) felt there was too much action the writing was on the wall.

I watched DOFP again last night(I rented). It was my 2nd viewing after seeing it in May. I noticed a fair few more holes here this time around......BUT I still loved it and look forward tremendously to buying the extended edition this Summer.
It isn't too late to bring back Emma Frost either.....and I really wish they would and have Alice Eve play her. We didn't see any photographic evidence of her death(unlike the rest of the Brotherhood).
Also I would like more of an explanation as to how so many Mutants were captured and killed by Stryker I presume? The post credit scene with ol Poccy excited me again and I hope to all that is holy......that justice is done with his character.

Marvel apparently approached Norton to play banner. Norton didn't like the script and being a big hulk fan he offered a ton of rewrites that extended the movie to almost 3 hours. Marvel agreed but when it came time to editing they removed most of the scenes Norton wrote, to the point that he didn't even get screen writing credit. Norton refused to do much promoting for the film, and from there it continued to snowball unit marvel cut him loose.

I think Ruffalo is perfect, I really liked Norton. But his behind the scenes antics makes me really not care much for that film. I loved it until all of this came out about Norton.

To be fair I'd say blame is on both sides. Norton is known for being difficult to work with and I'm sure he was no different when making this film. But Marvel did agree to Norton's rewrites and to give him screen writing credit. Then when filming was complete they cut out much of his work to the point that it was basically the same film that they had originally versioned it to be, the same film Norton rejected before signing on.

Marvel & Universal lads. TIH was made at Universal(who had a Hulk failure fresh in their minds)and they were aghast at Norton's soppy melodrama(too similar to lee's catastrophe) so they too had a hand in this.....a bigger one that most realise. in any case the correct decision was made....

I liked Norton better than Ruffalo, but to be fair, Norton had an entire movie's worth of material and Ruffalo was part of a huge ensemble. I know Norton has something of a history of being difficult to work with, but at the same time, Marvel Studios has a pretty extensive history of ing with their talent. MS is a very good, efficient studio that makes entertaining but also very formulaic movies.

I definatly agree that the correct decision was made and tih is an underrated movie. i wouldn't put it on the cap movie levels but definatly on par with the first iron man.
