What are your thoughts on him now? I see lots of people complaining about him on YouTube and how he's not the same because his music is different and how he sucks, etc. He's what 41? He's a full grown mature adult, he's not going to rap about childish crap like he used to do years ago. He's always put out quality music which is hard for some to do. People may not like him but Kanye is one of those people who can manage to always put out quality music. Eminem is one of those people too. He'll go down a legend in the music industry. His music hasn't gotten worse, if anything it's gotten better in some ways. What are your thoughts on him?

Eminem is one of my favorite artists. IMO, he doesn't need to rap about the same childish crap like he did on his first few albums. Recovery and The Marshall Mathers LP 2 have been some of the best albums that he's put out.

I'm of the opinion that MMLP2 was the best stuff he's done in years. I find a lot of his earlier stuff doesn't hold up very well outside of his hits.

'Rap God' is one of his best songs in years.
His featured spots on other peoples' songs steal the show.
All these years, and he's still one of the best of all time.

His new stuff is different, much more reflective. I think anyone who has a problem with it are probably younger fans who just started listening to all of his work. Those who have matured along with Eminem understand the mentality a bit more. I thought MMLP2 was one of his best albums and a perfect follow up to the first MMLP.

Though I may have overstepped a bit with the "his older stuff doesn't hold up as well" bit as I listened to him all the way to work yesterday and some of it is still really good but his newest stuff is more matured and closer to that "genius" level that got him on the map to begin with

Being someone that lives for 90s-early 00s beats, most of the rap of today, or music, for that matter, is something I just cannot get into. His early stuff was awesome, but not something I really replay a lot, anymore. I do when I want to be nostalgic and remember some cool times.

Still one of my favorite artists, which is funny because I really don't listen to rap outside of his music. In fact, I just saw in live saturday night and it was one of the best shows i've ever been too.

I'm a fan. It's nothing I go out of my way to listen to nowadays..but I still think he is great. I use to listen to his first 2 albums a ton when they first came out.
I really enjoyed his Recovery album. One of my good friends use to play that album when it came out. I was going through a pretty rough time at the time, and hearing some of those songs reminds me of the better part of all that.

Honestly, what the internet says, Relapse is such a good album. That's one of his best in my opinion. It's so ing out there and weird, it's so good. Marshall Mathers LP 2 is good but its not nearly as good as Recovery or Relapse in my opinion. That said, Em is a ing killer. He's the best, hands down.

Eminem is my favorite rapper of all time, with Tech N9ne being right up there with him. Even though I didn't care for Relapse, I've loved everything else. MMLP2 gets better each time I listen to it.

I'm a die hard Eminem fan and have been my whole entire life. The first album I ever bought was D12 world and I was hooked instantly. People who say he sucks now or he isn't as good as he used to be just don't realize that he has changed as a person and as Eminem even said himself "music a reflection of self" so his music changed as well.

Simply put, his older stuff I find great for the amusing side, and his newer stuff I find great for the maturity wise and showing how he has grown up into a "man" in a sense. My favorite songs are Stan and Bad Guy, because he did things so perfectly in those 2 songs that could bring emotions out of you. But I'll never knock Cleaning Out My Closet and Headlights. I feel Headlights and Bad Guy don't get enough love, or if it does I don't see it. Anyway, Eminem in my opinion is great. His verse in "Forever" is perfect, his My Name Is is funny with outlandish rhymes along with his D12 stuff. Been a fan since 2003, and my first understandable favorite was Mockingbird. Good god the guy has skill.

My favorite will always be The Eminem Show - to me that's sort of the perfect apex of old vs. new. It still blows my mind that in 2014, I'm 29 years old and Em is still making music. The Slim Shady LP came out when I was in the 8th grade. That's just out of this world.
MMLP2 didn't hook me the way a lot of his stuff has over the years. No doubt there's some gems on it, Headlights in particular, and I think my expectations would have been considerably more reasonable if it hadn't come packaged under the MMLP name.
Still good. Still in regular rotation in the car.
