Here's my part time car, I need to weld a new section into the floorpan behind the drivers seat but parts like that aren't so easy to come by when you live in the UK and you're between jobs... sick, what year? 1968. It's a 4.7ltr 289 V8 automatic. It was built in Dearborn, made it's way down to Florida over the years and ended up here in England.

Well I had been saving forever for a 1973 Ford Falcon XB GT Coupe, like the one from Mad Max, not necessarily in that style but as they are so hard to find, especially as they're Australian, so I started thinking about buying a classic Ford, then started looking at Mustangs, nothing serious at that stage until my mum told me that she had been talking to a colleague at work who told her that she'd been helping her dad put his car on eBay... a 1968 Mustang! So she got the link and showed me and the next day I went over to see it and was really thinking about it until he fired up that V8 and I was sold haha!

i know its been a while but i want to see if this will be getting used again we're putting a 350 motor in my dads 1970 Cutlass this week. unfortunately the last motor was overheated. my brothers the one thats putting everything together because hes had all the experience also, my other brother (3 of us total) bought a 2000 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab for $500 with a bad motor. we had a motor here at the lot but unfortunately the motor couldnt work. something to do with the gears in the crank that arent the same or something like that. anyway, we are hoping to find a wrecked Dakota to get cheap that has a good motor the motors looking good

Doesn't ford now sell new Mustangs in the UK? They do, in correct hand drive too I thought they did. I know Ford now has a global car program. Hence why the USA now has Transit vans here. Oddly enough in the after WW2 Ford Used to sell UK Fords here called The English Ford Line. Nobody seems to remember when English Ford's roamed the American roads

I think this is the first time we've really gotten a US model... other than the Ranger pickup. We have the name 'Fusion' but it is a completely different style of car where as the style of car in the US that you call the Fusion, we call the Mondeo here.

I know for sure that most of the Anglia's you see here in the USA have been customized into street rods. Which is very unfortunate if you're looking for a stock one. Unmolested stock Anglia's are extremely hard to find here in the USA since they rarely pop up for sale. Heck they even sold the 105e Anglia here. Here's an article about their odd history in North America www.enfostuff.com/history/A_Brief_History_of_English_Fords_in_North_America.html

The Subaru in my sig is a 1991 Subaru Loyale Wagon which I have very fond memories of. The Car had a history of taking abuse and managed to stay out on top of everything. My Sister was the first person in my family to own the car. My Dad was the second owner to get it. He got it for free when she got her Honda Odyssey back in 2002? Anyway when my sister originally owned the car it got abused hard in Philly. First somebody backed into the front bumper which somehow put a hole in it. My sister never bothered to get the bumper replaced. She only had it taped up like bandage with black duct tape which she referred to it as a boo boo. She once locked the keys inside once and somebody tried to use a slim jim to get the passenger door unlocked and accidentally jammed the door. Once my dad got the Subaru he got the passenger door unjammed for like $10 at the dealer. One day my dad and I were coming home one October night from a doctor appointment when a deer ran out in front of the car and we hit it. The steel bumper saved our life by pushing the deer by it's legs underneath the car. The only damage the car took on was a nick in the hood the size of a small plate and a parking light was torn off. The car had logged over 195k miles on it when my dad sold it

The Wagon Queen Family Truckster is a bigger car than the Subaru Loyale since the car it was based on was a Ford Country Squire

The car had logged over 195k miles on it when my dad sold it i can totally understand about having memories of a car. my dads 1968 Oldsmobile Cutlass has been in our family since my dad was 2 years old. it has value to us. then about 3 years ago in July, a drunk driver ran through my dads garage and hit the 68 Cutlass. it did not total it, we got it fixed luckily but the insurance company didn't want to pay to get it fixed. my dad had to fight with them for 2 months about receiving a check to fix it. luckily they gave in and gave us a check and we got it fixed anyway. the cars that were made back then were made really good. it was when things were made right. if that was a current vehicle that got hit, the vehicle would be totaled, guaranteed. another thing that sucks is, when you know you have had a good car and someone else happens to end up with it (like if its a relative or even if you sold it to someone you knew) and you see it down the road eventually and they have completely rigged things and did not take care of it. that makes me mad alot IMO, miles dont mean anything. my brother has a diesel Duramax and it has 340,000 miles on it and its a 2006. as long as it was taken care of, thats all that matters, no matter what

Supreme Cross, do you ever read Hemmings Motor News? It's a publication dedicated to classic and antique vehicles. They have a huge classified section on there. Although I never see certain cars like this car for sale
