I had two questions regarding tattoos on figures.
1. Why is that WWE 2k 15 can put certain tattoos on wrestlers in their games but mattel isn't offered the same luxury? For example, punk shoulder tattoos and Jerichos tattoos.
EDIT: Actually just noticed the variations in the tattoos on the WWE game. Didn't realize they weren't identical at first.
2. What determines whether or not a basic figure gets coloring on their tattoos? Is it all budget related? For example, CM Punk basics will not have coloring but Wrestlemania heritage Batista and basic series Wade Barret will.

1. Mattel chooses not to. They've said they'd rather have nothing than something inaccurate.
2. I'm assuming if theres money left over in the budget and the tattoo colour is something bright, like the red rose on Orton or blue on Batista's leg.

Thanks, I actually just logged on wwe 2k14 and noticed the inaccuracy on the tattoos. Thought they were identical at first.

WWE Video Games has a different license than Mattel. It somewhere allows guys like Jericho to have his Fozzy tattoo and Punk to have his Pepsi tatoo.
And as stated above I would imagine having leftover money in the budget allows for things like that.

Here's a question: Why can't basic Punks have some color in the tats, but the WM T-shirt Punks have plenty of color and detail?

Here's a question: Why can't basic Punks have some color in the tats, but the WM T-shirt Punks have plenty of color and detail? The t-shirt line likely has considerably more of a deco budget than a standard basic series, possibly because it uses 100% existing parts so no tooling budget required.

Guessing here, but maybe because the TShirt wave is an exclusive series they get a little more budget?

have they had a falling out with living colour ? no cult of personality ? Punk used This Fire Burns the whole way through his first contract. When he returned a couple days later, he debuted Cult of Personality in his WWE run.
