Before you bombard the forum with I can't believe so much is being released at once, please remember this happens every fall. Just like the four month drought that begins every calendar year. Mattel obviously staggers releases not because of Chinese New Year, but for the Christmas shopping season. Yes, there will be a lot of series striking seemingly at once, but this happens every year. Just remember the slew of releases hitting your brick and mortar in the next month or two when the shelves are empty this winter.

Sorry, didn't mean to sound d*ckish, but I have seen all these posts saying your wallets can't keep up. Not that I posted anything incredibly enlightening, just as a rule, something to bear in mind.

I actually haven't seen a slow period until recently. Mid-late summer was when I couldn't find jack at retail. Right after Xmas though man oh man. Stacked shelves.

People complain when there aren't enough figures at retail. People complain when there are too many figures at retail.

My wallet doesn't want a break, just as long as Mattel keeps releasing awesome figures.

I think that you've made a fair point. Within the next few months Mattel are going to flood us with new stuff, in the run up to Christmas. Last year in the UK there were at least three elite series released back to back, with buying most of the figures in those sets AND getting gifts aswell, it was pretty hard going. So this year I decided to put some money aside earlyer for Christmas presents and so far it's working out quite well.

I think some of us would just prefer if it was spaced out a bit better.... My stores have been relatively empty since February..... I've gone in plenty of times with some extra cash, and walked away empty-handed..... feeling also like I wasted my time. Now, I'm wondering how I'm going to scrape the cash together to buy all the E29's, E30's, Wyatt 3-Packs, cool Battle Packs, and other new Basics (El Torito, etc) & stuff that are coming out seemingly all at once; And I also should be spending my money on Christmas presents for others... So now cash is going to be a little tighter - and there's lots of new Mattel stuff to choose from! Where was this stuff all year? I can't tell you how many times I stopped at multiple Wal Marts and found empty pegs.... same for Target, and K Mart's mostly just had older stuff. In the end - I'll now have to select which figures I want to buy - but if they had been coming out steadily all year - Mattel probably would have gotten more out of my wallet.... I think that's the issue some of us have.... the distribution is very sporadic.

i must say right now , is a drought... seems like everywhere (online also) is held up on E28/E29 , and basics , well thats another story. Seems like Matty was on point for most of this year , but its been super slow the last month or so .

My shelves are full because Mattel over saturated my area with E28 and the kids don't want HHH or Big Show.

Just remember the slew of releases hitting your brick and mortar in the next month or two when the shelves are empty this winter. Yeah I've never understood why it seems like Toy companies try to jam the shelves so far ahead of time, planning for Xmas. Then come Nov/Dec the shelves are so light. Then Jan seems like the toy store will be closing soon cause nothing will be on shelves. I just dont understand why they dont keep a steady supply of stock. I worked in a grocery store for years. When I saw we were running light on canned corn, for example, I would order another case. In a few days time the store would have another case on the shelves. With toys though it seems like the manufacture just sends what they have when they want, with out the stores input. Sometimes we see nothing on the shelf, then other times the shelves are jammed and they also have displays. Is a regular steady supply of product just an impossibility for toys companies?
