i was 4 years old and all though some may not believe this i went to pre school blocks from the WTC, St. James in Manhattan my mothers job wasn't too far from my school or the towers. the only real memories i have are the whole school panicking as we were rushed to the bomb shelters. my mother frantically picking me up, walking basically all of Manhattan in a panic until my uncle picked us up. i would also say these are my only memories of me as a 4 year old. Be glad you don't remember much from that day like I did. I remember most things I did that day. Manhattan south of 14th Street was designated as a frozen zone.

Jr High. My school thought it'd be best to carry on like nothing was happening. I had to walk home after school and was watching the news for hours in an empty house. I'll always remember the tension I felt in that time. Between 9/11 and my parents getting divorced, everything changed after that.

I worked at the city newspaper at the time, I remember quite the commotion going on in there because of it!

I was in the 9th grade. In between classes(they called it passing time at my school) and my buddy walks up to me, all high, and says "Hey man, somebody just asked the Sears Tower." Don't smoke pot kids.

Wow, interesting topic, since I remember it clear and vividly....
I was on my way back from a shrink appointment and stopping in at a coffee shop to get a muffin or scone and coffee. Then when I made it home, the maid we had at the time had Springer on and no idea it was going on, while I heard about it in the car on the radio. People were speculating it was accidental on the radio and news once we made it home- to be honest, because of this, and not hearing about the other 2 crashes until I got home and we got fatty boombah to change it to the news, since FOX hadn't cut into Springer yet I guess... I was very close to home, just about back from the whole shrink and coffeeshop deal. But that is what I was doing that morning/day when I remember it taking place.

I guess i'm a bit late but nonetheless, here's my story:
I was 11 (yes, i'm 24) and had only just started Year 7 which is the first year of British secondary school. At about 2pm right after Form I had DT (Design & Technology).
Just as I walked in the classroom everyone was walking out and the teacher explained to me that that we were going to the Hall and I remember Years 7&8 were in the hall and the news was being projected onto the wall and I just remember talking to my friends and suddenly a big orange light flashed. Yup! Plane 2 had hit. We were all shocked.
Don't remember much else from that day, I think that was when the Simpsons was on BBC 2 at the time so I probably watched that. Fresh Prince was on before The Simpsons so maybe that too.
I ramble too much :3
