I'm so damn alright with this. They were already planning 2 different spinoffs, one starring Bud, back when the show was still on, though. Even had the set up episodes. One of the best shows ever. This is splendid news. I remember trying out the first episode of the one with Matt LeBlanc and it was garbage. Yeah, it was pretty rough. Where he dad tries to pawn him off on a rich woman, or whatever. His character wasn't terrible, but -- not one I'd have built a show around. The one with Bud in college, though, and Steve as the Dean -- that could have been phenomenal if it was given legs. I think at that point the Fox execs were wary on MwC as it was. They just weren't happy with the response. If they bring this show up, though, it needs to be done right. All these sitcoms are written by the same people (which is why they're all the same, and most of them blow) -- bring in some younger talent, push the boundaries. Instead of the usual guys, reach out to the South Park guys to write the pilot, or something. Someone who can push the envelope, and give us the soul of MwC.

As long as it's not a scheduling issue, I'm sure he could/would take part for at least cameos. He and Faustino (hell, most of the cast) are close. The only one I can really do without is Marcy. I suggested the character be offed, and Jefferson be living next door, comfortably, off her life insurance, savings, etc. A friend suggested that he and Griff are now roommates. I'd enjoy that.

I would give this a shot, as a kid I always thought Bud Bundy was the man.

Man, I really wish that college show got picked up, especially since Steve was one of my favorites on that show (though I love pretty much the whole main cast). It's a shame that the series with Matt LeBlanc got like, 13 or so episodes but the college one only got it's backdoor pilot. Anyway, I was a pretty big MWC fan, still am in several ways so I'll definitely check this out. Though I'm a bit skeptical on how it'll turn out, with how long it's been since the original series.

What is with this 90s show resurrection spin offs. Girl Meets World, the supposed Full House revival, now this. To be fair though this would be a spin off of a GOOD show. Riiight, because Boy Meets World was terrible...

No, it only got the backdoor pilot, which is a term for episodes of a pre-established series that were made to spin-off into their own series. For whatever reason, the backdoor pilot of Top of the Heap (the Matt LeBlanc one, I googled the name because I didn't like calling it the Matt LeBlanc one) got it's own series yet the other two attempts, Radio Free Trumaine & Enemies [Friends rip-off], didn't. I'm tempted to say Fox said no to the other two because of the failure of Top of the Heap. I like Jefferson & Steve about the same honestly. I think I lean towards Steve just because I liked the early seasons better overall.

To be fair though this would be a spin off of a GOOD show. Riiight, because Boy Meets World was terrible... To me it was. See the thing is this, if you're a baby then to you Gerber jars of food are the best thing in the world. They are tasty, they come mashed/pureed, and they come in a portion which is just right for you. Now as an adult though you prob wont care as much for those same Gerber jars of baby food. The same can be said for me and boy meets world. I can see how it would appeal to some, but it didnt appeal to me at all.

Anvil, You remember the ep of MwC where they find out Steve is the new Dean at Bud's school, so Marcy helps the guys running the school radio station stage a protest -- while Bud fought with the tall Russian for Marcy's niece? That was the backdoor pilot for Radio Free Trumaine. I forgot about the 3rd one. Out of the 3, RFT could have worked so well. Steve was always awesome, and him going against an older Bud (who got better as the show progressed) -- could have made for some great television moments.

There are quite a few episodes from the later Seasons that I've never seen.... I must watch them!

Some of you are Disney kids, some of us are Looney Toons kids.

When she got pregnant and that whole thing had to be written in, plus Seven and such. Ugh. But the last couple seasons were really strong viewing again.
