See, there is my problem. I want less matches and more mic time. I don't find a match with no story entertaining, it actually bores the hell out of me. I enjoy NXT but feel it could use a little more character development because so far almost everyone that has come up has flopped. And the way Wyatt is being used is just sad, he was so over before the cancer that is John Cena, now he's nothing. I don't think it's lack of character development that hurt the NXT call ups, it's more of how they're used, or lack thereof. Bo Dallas, Bray Wyatt and Adam Rose all bring something different to the table and have unique characters. Bray has been destroyed to the point where I'm not even interested in it. Bo Dallas can be entertaining as hell and a solid piece of the mid-card. Adam Rose is the least developed since he only had the character for a short time before the callup, but it's still different than anything else on the roster. Well, some aren't too bad but they need to start looking for future main eventers. The only people in NXT I can see every being WWE champ are Devitt and Zayn if he gets DB over. Other than that I see a bunch of low to mid card gimmicks/no character people. And we all know how WWE books the mid card. I see a lot of people say that about Wyatt, it's amazing how WWE takes people with so much talent and makes them look like total crap. It's like a once a year thing, Barrett, Sandow, Wyatt, Ambrose This years a two for one though.

The WWE doesn't have the best track record for his future, but for now he's still in good shape I think. Not Bray though. I literally don't look forward to him.

Be careful JokerFc will lock this thread On a serious note they've been selling the same product for almost 9 years now its old let us at have some new faces and no hogans The "be careful" JokerFC will lock this thread jokes are already old. Your got a thread locked because you wished death on human beings. It's not some conspiracy of "they lock any negative WWE threads." Stop.

In my opinion he should be getting the Reigns push. I think he's been booked pretty bad match wise, losing to Kane and several others while Roman and and Seth both never lose. I just hope he ends up like DB/Punk and forces their hand into pushing him. He's one of the best talents they have, the sky is the limit for him. When he returns he'll probably be turned heel and fed to Reigns since he's more over and we can't have that.

I get what you're saying and all but the WWE has been promoting itself as the "best" pretty much since the 60's and they're still here.....

I haven't watched Raw in months, but I just read that Henry and Rusev was the main event segment over the first time match of Reigns vs Rollins, and the Brock Cena segment. What the actual is going on?

Am I the only person on here that actually really enjoys the WWE Product? I certainly do. Especially lately( even tho I truly miss Barrett, Bryan, and Punk). But it frustrates me from time to time... I'm sure you feel the same way sometimes. Like when your favorite team loses or when Lem got blown up on The Shield.

For a company that was getting 6-7 Million viewers just a decade ago I don't understand how they could accept the ratings they are pulling in now.
Ratings are in a general slow decline and at they rate they are going they will be hitting TNA numbers a decade from now.
Someone in the company needs to speak up and start pushing for change plan and simple

Then again, I still don't 100% trust H's ego running a company.

Ratings don't matter anymore anyhow, because people watch stuff On Demand or with their DVRs.
Secondly, reason why wrestling got such big ratings 15 years ago, is not because of the product, or the story lines for the most part - because looking back at the Attitude Era stuff there was a lot of bad stuff happening there - it was just the times.
WWE was hot from 1998 - 2002. That was a huge peak. And from 2003 - 2006 it was still pretty decent, but eventually wrestling just stopped being the 'in' thing.
The WWE could turn Cena heel, it wouldn't do anything. The WWE could bring Lesnar in full time every week, still wouldn't help. Just right now, wrestling isn't hot.
Give it time though, I can see wrestling in a few years being the 'in' thing again. You just have to wait it out.

What the actual is going on? Strange things are afoot at WWE... I do understand what Chip is saying. I always look at that kind of stuff as appealing to the lowest common denominator, kids on some level too. It happens all the time in marketing and especially during election times. It's strategically presented data. I wouldn't call it lying though, but a spin on the truth is probably fair, and they definitely want people to take the information at face value. WWE is totally transparent though to anyone who is actually looking to be informed. The stock holder meetings, the quarterly reports, the annual reports, all of those financials and that data is in the public domain. Is it embarrassing to WWE? I think it's kind of a nothing to lose situation for them from a marketing perspective. Let's be honest, pro wrestling is the red headed stepchild of both the sports and entertainment realm. It's not a sport because of predetermined outcomes, and it's never really going to be taken seriously as a sophisticated form of entertainment. So WWE can kind of do what they want and if it appeals to anyone it's a win. When they say something arbitrary, like John Cena has more Twitter followers than the LA Lakers, it's true. Does it mean anything? Not really haha. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it.

For me, Wyatt is one of the only characters I'm interested in. Back in 2001 or 2002 WWE was packed with big time wrestling names and character development wasn't as necessary as in the past because the fans already knew all these guys. Seems like ever since then WWE hasn't cared or doesn't know how to develop guys anymore, they either wait for the crowd to go crazy for guys like Cena when he first got the gold or more currently Punk or Bryan. Their other method seems to be just stick titles on guys and hope that will get them over like Sheamus or Jack Swagger. WWE claims they're entertainment and not wrestling but the stories they've been telling is about as riveting as harvesting crops. And quite honestly, that Colts and Eagles game was really good. Aside from the first 20 minutes and halftime, I felt no desire to see what was happening on Raw, and I'm thinking most fans that like WWE and the NFL probably felt the same. Even when the game ended and I flipped on the last fifteen minutes, I just felt like I hadn't missed anything.

If I could like this 100 times I would, I will never understand the put the belt on someone who isn't over and hope it gets them over theory. I wish WCW was still around so they'd be forced to try again. Or just if tna was bigger. I miss huge stars, and fun shows. Now it's all repetitive and formulaic.

Am I the only person on here that actually really enjoys the WWE Product? I am generally pretty optimistic, but the last several weeks have been a bit rough for me. It's hard cause I'm missing most of my guys. But I loved the product up through Extreme Rules, and mostly enjoyed it up to SS.

Holy ing sh-t we finally agree on something. It doesn't matter what any wrestling promotion does---wrestling is like many other "retro" fads. It's like, accepted geek culture now or something. Look at it like this: Pokemon was hot for pretty much the same time wrestling was super hot in the States. Both faded out around the same time and by now all that's left is the new generation (kids) and the remnants of the fanbase who never let it go. Wrestling's a self sustaining business, so as long as they don't do anything critically stupid, they'll be fine but there's not going to be some huge boom again unless some real serious sh-t goes down.
