I've been stopping in at my local Walgreens everyday for the past two weeks or so in hopes of finding a Proto Boba. This morning when I stopped in, I asked the shift manager when they would be getting them in. I've spoken to this particular shift manager multiple times over the past two weeks. She tells me that they received two Bobas about a week ago and put them out at midnight. The Bobas were sold as soon as they were put on the shelf (no surprise). She then told me that they will not be receiving anymore Bobas, at all.
I am so frustrated with this! First, you received them a week ago and let me continue to wander in everyday knowing that you weren't going to get anymore in? That's a crapty thing to do. Why not tell me this in the multiple exchanges we've had over the last week. She also took down my name and phone number and promised to call as soon as they came in because I had been, "so diligently looking for him." I did not ask her to take down my info, she did this on her own. I would never dream of asking a national retail store to hold something for me because most of the time they won't do it. But don't offer and then not follow through.
The second thing that really frustrates me is I live in a town of 50,000 people. We're a decent sized city. You're telling me that for 50,000 people, you're only going to offer 2 figures total? Come on! That's insanity! I'm not expecting them to get some insane number of Bobas like 100 or something, but at least get enough to cover a display. Even one of the little end of the isle displays that are on the side of the end cap. Give people a fighting chance at getting the figures.
I'm gonna go to Walgreens in surrounding towns today in hopes of finding something. I really don't want to be stuck paying inflated eBay prices because Walgreens isn't prepared to handle an exclusive and its customer base.
Ugh! I'm so annoyed. Is anyone else having this problem with Walgreens?

That sucks. But isn't he still available on their website? I've not gone on it, but I heard he was still listed on the site.

He is on the website, but not available to buy. It does have a store search, but it could be any figure from the assortment. A couple weeks ago, a manager offered to take my number. He never called, despite his store having stock (according to the site). Since they have a shelf tag, I have a feeling we'll see more.

But, if the Walking Dead Rick was a leading example, once the store sold out of him, they never restocked. I saw one Rick, which I own, out of 12 Walgreens. I never saw another, nor heard of a restock . Hopefully with Boba, it will be a different story, however Walgreens is know for selling out of stock on toys and not replenishing.

Most of my Walgreens got 2 or 3 Ricks, then within a month they received full cases of the current series (I forget the series number with Gov, Andrea, Carl). Maybe I was being overly optimistic. It's odd how differently Hasbro handled Agent Venom compared to Boba. The other morning one of my Walgreens had eight Venoms on the shelf, while the two Walgreens in town got four random Star Wars figures.
I'm glad I don't have to find a single pack Daryl. I can see that one being a difficult find, especially with the newest wave coming soon.

Michonne is a repack with the Zombie Head fish tank, Daryl is from the Bike box set, and Carl is a repack with a can of pudding. All will be hard to find.

I picked up the Daryl and Michonne today. They had a full display up this morning where the Agent of Venom display was last week. As for the SW the employee at this same store did hold Boba Fett for me and said if they get Vader or Chewie he would hold them for me too. He is off today, but according to their website this store and another have them in stock, but I was at both today without any luck. So that feature didn't help me out. Lol

this kind of situation, and many of the issues I myself have dealt with Walgreens in the last 3 weeks is EXACTLY why I was terrified when I heard about them getting exclusive figures of lines I collect.

There were two stores in my area where the figure was, "In Stock" on walgreens.com, but neither store had Boba. There website isn't very up to date apparently.

I live in a small town. The website showed "in stock" 3 days in a row, so today I finally checked. 1 Boba and 1 Trooper. Score.

Don't stores like Walgreens only get certain amount of an item instead of getting full cases to their stores, because stores like CVS and Rite Aid are like that

Although some stores got a lot of the GoT/Agent Venom exclusives. And pics have surfaced of some stores getting complete cases of SW Black. I'm thinking these will be a recurring holiday item and these 3 figure shipments aren't a one-off.

I went to a Walgreens the other day, they had 3 Venoms but the Star Wars section was bare. I went to another store yesterday, and they didn't have any toys at all, no more wasting my time with that one. So I hope I can find white Boba, Series 5 would be nice, too, but I still haven't seen Series 5 Clone or Anakin anywhere yet.

Can't you order stuff from Walgreens website? Been out of stock for a good long while. Walgreens is beyond frustrating for this kind of stuff. Nobody ever knows what I am talking about. I got a pre-order in for a Fett during SDCC, but who knows if it will ever ship? Agent Venom is everywhere and I know people that still have not received their website order yet.

I don't know how true this is, but the other day an employee at a Walgreens I was at said I could have the manager place an order for it and then they would call when it came in. I didn't try because I already have one and this store was over an hour away.

I've spoken to numerous employees and managers and they say that they don't know what is going to be on their trucks until they arrive. I have been able to find out that all Walgreens (in my area at least) get their new shipments in on Tuesday nights. So early Wednesday morning is the best time to find new items. I'm gonna call today and ask about the manager placing an order. If that's something that they can do, I will be very excited.

to repeat something said in the SW thread (and whoever posted it,please take credit!), 5,000 Walgreens stores are supposed to start receiving full cases of 8 of just the Proto Boba starting in November.

One of my Walgreens was "in stock" today. When I went in, the lady was just about finished putting out the new merch from her the totes. I asked her about the figures, she said she hadn't seen any yet today. We looked through the remainder of the unopened totes and found one single sandtrooper. I left it behind, still searching for Luke and Darth.
