I haven't watched any of this season yet, but I will catch up soon. Can someone explain this continuity thing? SP haven't done it before, have they just decided to start doing it in Season 18? Have they given a reason why in an interview or something?

Have they given a reason why in an interview or something? Basically the second episode is almost a direct continuation of the first without it being a 2 parter, it doesn't focus on the same plot, but it takes place directly following the first episode. The third takes one element of the second episode and basically makes it an entire episode focus, and the 4th references that with a cameo of sorts. To my knowledge they haven't said why they're doing it in any interview yet.

Pretty much everything they do is for Chocolate sh*ts and giggles lol.

Strange. Wonder if it'll be a permanent thing. I hope so. It's really cool. It really is. It makes it feel like an actual show, rather than each episode being attached to the last. They've done it before (like with Tom Cruise, or Kenny dying) where they'll refer back to previous stuff, but -- never episode to episode... Now if we just got a cartoon show where the characters actually aged, etc -- that's what I've always wanted to see.

Yeah, they do often make references to past episodes, but this feels very fresh and different. The South Park kids do actually age. They all started off as 8, they did an episode where they moved from the 3rd to the 4th grade, and now a few of them are 10. Futurama ages more like what you're wanting though, the characters age year to year. It's always set 1000 years in the future of when the episode airs.

Yeah, I knew they aged a bit, and switched grades, etc -- I just feel like different comedy could come from that. Imagine the progression (and freshness) of stories. That's my thing with it.

Weird to think that if they did that in The Simpsons that Bart would be in his mid 30s.

Bart with his own family, etc... the same potential that the Bud Bundy show has, if it comes to fruition.

Awesome episode.
They're killin' it, this season.
It's kind of ridiculous how good this show is, right now.

I can't handle it. It's 630 in the morning and I can't stop laughing so hard about "And yes, the drone was black." Ridiculous....
