So i was just on yahoo and saw that Randy Orton was the #1 trending topic worldwide so I clicked on the search results and saw this article... Take it for what it's worth because I haven't been able to find it on another site yet, and I've never red any other news from this site before. If it is true I mostly agree with the fact that there is such a low amount of top name superstars on the roster right now. Randy Orton and the WWE don’t appear to be on the best of terms right now. After an impressive match against Chris Jericho on Sunday’s pay-per-view special, Orton has reportedly taken exception with how the WWE has been giving little attention to his character development. Daily Wrestling News reported that Randy Orton has been putting on a good face for the WWE and appearing in all events he’s asked to, but behind the scenes, he is growing tired of the WWE and need a break. The site noted: “While he’s still headlining events, Randy Orton has not been a big factor in WWE in recent weeks and this has him unhappy. As a result, he recently asked management about taking some time away from the ring by the end of the year in order to rejuvenate.” Orton joins a growing number of superstars who have problems with the WWE in the next year. CM Punk is the most visible example as years of packed bookings left his body in shambles and led him to walk away from the WWE earlier this year. Fansided notes that there are others — including Rey Mysterio, Alberto Del Rio, and Batista — to grow frustrated with the WWE this year. This also isn’t the first rumor that Randy Orton is unhappy with the WWE. Earlier this month, RingSide News reported that Orton was feeling run down after his workload increased with the departure of CM Punk and injuries to some other WWE superstars. The outlet reported: “As a result, he recently asked management about taking some time away from the ring by the end of the year in order to rejuvenate. WWE considers their roster “thin,” especially in regards to the number of top-flight wrestlers they have available. It is said that the absences of Daniel Bryan and Batista is standing in the way of Orton being granted some time off. To pacify him, Orton has been told that his character will be emphasized more on television. This probably won’t satisfy him though.” The tension between Randy Orton and the WWE could reflect a greater dissatisfaction with Vince McMahon, whose decisions have come into question lately. McMahon has faced criticism both on his rollout of the WWE Network and his management of the organization’s talent. He Hasn't done anything in years to make me care about him he seriously needs a whole overall on his character because this Viper Crap is so dry and stale. He could also use a new look maybe some new ring attire or something he's just old news to me.Now 2004 Orton was something to watch.

I loved the Viper character in 2009. However, he hasn't been the Viper in a long time. He's just a dude who follows Triple H's orders.

this is why the WWE needs more than ONE big name. they need to give these guys a break once and awhile. enough with the 300 days a year schedule. give all the big stars the month of december off, let the mid-carders take over then. while those mid carders get like September or October off.
or get a better rotation of superstars. instead of having Sheamus wrestling 500000000000 x a year, put someone else in a match once and awhile.
or at least give every major superstar a full month off sometime during the year, on rotation. and NOT to film a movie. i mean a complete month off. they literally go home and do NOTHING but be with their respective families & friends.

It's wwe booking fault. I actually really enjoyed Orton's run as champion last year. Eventually he does have to take a back seat to up and comers, however, he did get shot down the card pretty hard as of late - and if I were him, I would take exception as well considering how many top names are out. Orton may be stale - but creative is always to blame for things like this. They can't focus on more than one actual story at a time - and even that isn't very good as of late.

I think giving the just the Mid-Carders December to build themselves and steal the show would be awesome because they could gain momentum and then some mid carders could become very believable winners of the Royal Rumble the following month and make it even more of a cool and more unpredictable match.

He has only himself to blame for not being the guy. Also, he's self admittedly a bad face, so he's never going to be the top guy as a heel.

Right cause Orton has a lot to be frustrated about. Between being a 12 time world champion. Being the youngest world champion in History. constantly in the main event/World heavy weight championchip picture. And getting away with stuff that anybody else would be punished for.

I don't feel as this being true. Orton is being used and it's clear. He's been slowly becoming annoyed by the authority for the past several weeks. It's clear he's not going to remain with them much longer. Hopefully he turns on them and Triple H sends Lesnar after him giving them a feud

I actually would like to see what WWE would do if somebody like Orton or Cena left. How big would their absence be? Punk would be a good example but he wasn't at the tippy top like Orton or Cena have been for so long. Neither was Del Rio.
WWE needs to find the replacements for Henry, Kane and Big Show soon too. They could leave anytime now. All three were wrestling long before WCW closed, That's over 13 years now (holy crap) Their days are numbered.
I agree with Chip. They need to stop these 300+ days on the road. Cancel a few of these obscure house shows.
I don't blame Randy for being frustrated with his work load. He's been working nonstop.

Punk had far surpassed Orton, longetivity being the only thing Orton has over him.

Ive really enjoyed Ortons ring work since summerslam 2013 but his character is beyond stale. He needs to evolve asap or take some time off.

Maybe give him a month or so off at the end of the year. Then he can be back for the Rumble & road to WM.

Have him get a storyline injury at TLC, give him 2 months off, return at the Rumble. That should work.

Personally I think Randy sees the writing on the wall......and that he will soon become a top level heel enhancement talent......like Kane has been for years in both roles.
His time in the ME is likely done barring a spate of injuries.

Orton's a future Hall of Famer no doubt. He could finish up right now and legacy would be fine.

I've never been a huge fan of Randy but over the last year I've really dug him; in-ring wise. Hope we get some more info on this. As someone above suggested it sounds like they really need to cancel some of these minor events. In the long run is it worth the risk of your top stars to wrestle a 15-25 min match that will never make television? Honestly I don't know, but it doesn't seem that way.

With how often he has to work and his current role I'm not surprised.
WWE please bring back the brand split and make it good. You can't have your top talents work the TV Tapings, then 4 house shows. If they had 30 superstars for each brand, RAW works Monday - Wednesday, SmackDown! works Tuesday - Thursday that would good. House shows don't do that well anyway, only going from pics I see of the events where half the arena looks to be empty, the wrestling business isn't in huge demand right now anyway. And if they want their wrestlers to be happy and healthy and all that, how is having them on the road with no time to heal small injuries helping?

The problem is the crap booking and the fact that the wwe only pushes cena as a constant force in the main event. During the attitude era the wwe had 2 legit megastars, and about 5-6 other top names that were constantly being rotated in the main event. For the last 10 years cena has been the only constant the wwe will stick with.
The other problem is the fact that the wwe doesn't care about anything outside of cena and the wwe title. Orton/Jericho should have been pushed as a big deal but they got no story and a rushed match. Mid carders haven't been important since about 2007/2008 and since the wwe ended the brand split the same thing has happened to other top names like sheamus and Orton.
Give people a reason to care about these guys. And give us something new. Instead of lesnar and cena going at it a million times, give us lesnar/Orton or lesnar/sheamus.
The wwe is seriously lacking top names and if this is true then loosing Orton would be a big blow to the wwe. While the iwc likes to think loosing punk was bad, it wasn't. The wwe didn't lose any sleep over it because punk was never pushed as a face of the company. Behind cena, Orton has been the #2 guy for years. Loosing him would be a bigger blow than loosing punk.
