Just saw the movie (loved the book)... that is the most ed up movie I've ever seen. Just perfectly done. Tip for anyone interested in seeing it: Either read the entire book first, or go in as blind as possible. Do not read spoilers beforehand.

Going to see it tonight man. Can't wait.
I haven't read the book, so I'm going in blind. The movie looks fantastic though and Ben Affleck is at the top of his game lately.

I'm looking forward to seeing it. Most of it was filmed in my area, so it'll be cool to see some local spots.

What an absolutely fantastic movie. Just got back from seeing it.
So many twists and turns! One of the best movies I've seen in the past year. Congratulations David Fincher you have excelled again!
Side note: Ben Affleck looks huge! Definitely been bulking for Batman.

Plan on going in as blind as possible; I know nothing other than what was in the TV trailers.

Loved the book. Everybody was cast perfectly with the exception of nph who did well but the part made him too much like a dark Barney stinson. Fincher did great job. Rosmund pike was phenomenal.

Yeah I agree with that. Considering he's NPH (I consider him to be an extremely limited actor) he was was fine but it was by far the weakest performance in the movie. I also thought I should admit that I'm totally in love with Kim Dickens after this. She was fantastic.

Sadly I think I already know what happens although I still plan to see it since it should be an Oscar contender and I try to see all of them before the awards are handed out.
The award experts at Goldderby are currently predicting Rosmund Pike to be nominated for Best Actress so with any luck on her part she will get in (and the film in general will do well at the various award shows).

I'm gonna go see this tomorrow.
I was debating between this or Equalizer but I can't pass up a Fincher movie.

It's no surprise, but David Fincher has done it again. This man constantly pumps out such enjoyable films. I haven't read the book and went into this pretty much blind and it was incredibly enjoyable. I don't remember the last time my jaw dropped once, let along about three times in one sitting while watching a movie. Incredibly shocking and the performances were spectacular all around. I love the commentary on the media frenzy surrounding tragedy and the general core which to me showed us the worst of men and women. It's one of those films that will have people talking for months if not years. 8.5/10

Agreed with all the comments above, just got home from seeing it and was blown away. The twists were great, very unexpected as I hadn't read the book so went in completely blind. Some good spots of humor to break up 2 and a half hours of tension, the movie definitely takes you on a roller coaster of emotions as I felt the mood of the movie change numerous times, in a positive way. Without spoiling anything, I did just look up the book ending and would have preferred that instead but great film overall.
Affleck FTW.

I had read the book before seeing the movie. I have never been so excited for a film. I went in honestly a tad worried I was going to be let down. I wasn't!!! (Although one of me fave lines in the book isn't in the movie.)
I went to the first showing Friday morning. (How much was I looking forward to this movie? I took off work.) All I'll say was I could tell the audience hadn't read the book because there were *gasps* from people.
I adore both the book and the film. Recommend reading the book. More fleshed out.

Excellent movie. Just got back from seeing it.
I went in knowing NOTHING. I'd never even heard of the book.
Fincher is genius. No CGI, no explosions, no nonsense...just good acting, amazing storytelling and terrific character development.
So many mediocre movies these days claim to be thrilling, gripping, etc. until a Fincher movie comes along and blows the rest out of the water. This is how it's done, folks.

Jesus Christ, Kim??? Not that I'm on much anymore myself, but I haven't seen you on here in years. I'm so pumped for this movie. I know, I should have seen it by now, but I work at a movie theatre and it's really hindered my ability to catch it at the moment. It sold out every show all weekend, had to cancel other shows to put it in more theaters. I shall see it soon enough.

I haven't seen this one, but I HIGHLY recommend to anyone who hasn't seen it yet, to go enjoy The Equalizer. It was phenomenal from beginning to end. This is the first time in YEARS that a Summer Blockbuster hasn't gotten my vote for 'best movie of the year'...it was damn, damn good. I should be seeing Gone Girl on Tuesday. Hoping for great things. Love Fincher's work.
