Saw it yesterday, went in not even seeing trailers for it and with really no expectations as I just went because the girlfriend wanted to see it and I like going to the movies anyways. I really enjoyed it. A couple of the twists I expected, but there were a couple that I was pretty blown away by. The main actress was fantastic and it's crazy to see how respectable has become.

I had read the book before seeing the movie. I have never been so excited for a film. I went in honestly a tad worried I was going to be let down. I wasn't!!! (Although one of me fave lines in the book isn't in the movie.) I went to the first showing Friday morning. (How much was I looking forward to this movie? I took off work.) All I'll say was I could tell the audience hadn't read the book because there were *gasps* from people. I adore both the book and the film. Recommend reading the book. More fleshed out. Jesus Christ, Kim??? Not that I'm on much anymore myself, but I haven't seen you on here in years. I'm so pumped for this movie. I know, I should have seen it by now, but I work at a movie theatre and it's really hindered my ability to catch it at the moment. It sold out every show all weekend, had to cancel other shows to put it in more theaters. I shall see it soon enough. What's up? How are ya?

Saw it Saturday and was absolutely floored. Fincher is one of my favorite directors, so I sort of expected to love it, and I wasn't at all disappointed. I'd started reading the book before the movie came out an initially hoped to finish it before seeing it, but I've been busy in recent weeks and didn't have the time. I told myself I'd just wait it out, but a friend called wanting to go on Saturday night and I decided I just couldn't wait.
In truth, seeing the film just made me more excited to finish the book, so it worked out quite well.

Definitely provides a little more detail and insight into Nick and Amy as characters.

I love David Fincher, probably my second favorite director. Will most likely be going to see this sometime this week with my girlfriend. Unless NBA 2K15 consumes me.

To be really honest, one of the reasons I made sure to see Gone Girl three times already is because 2K15 is going to consume all of my free time starting tomorrow.

I wish my local Target, where I pre-ordered, had a midnight release. Alas, 8AM can't come so soon.

I saw Gone Girl on Friday after months of anticipation. It was amazing and well worth the wait. I already want to see it again. The actors all owned their roles, the music was soothing yet unnerving, the story was so multi-layered that it was able to keep my full attention, and the twists and turns kept me guessing throughout.

Seeing it tomorrow, been anticipating it for months now simply because of Trent's involvement. Listened to the soundtrack about 10 times now, I'm stoked to hear it w/ the movie accompanying it.

Soundtrack was excellent. All of Fincher's movies have had terrific soundtracks. Fight Club, Se7en, Dragon Tattoo, etc.

loved it. I would have preferred not to have been spoiled about the twists, but what can you do?

Both Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike deserve some sort of award recognition, as does David Fincher. He puts out another great film with a great soundtrack.

Great movie. What a crazy biatch. My wife read the book and I went in blind not knowing a thing. It was terrific.

I heard nothing but good things about this movie, so I decided to buy the book. I finished reading it within a week and that made me super excited as I don't really read books all that much. They do $5 movies at a local Casino so me and the wife decided to spend the day there. We first saw Fury and then went to see Gone Girl. It was so damn good I hope it gets nominated for an Oscar. Like I said I don't read all that much so it was cool to see what I image in my head go to the big screen.
*Spoilers*
I keep hearing that the ending is different from the book, but was is the big difference? I know in the book in the end they don't do a interview with Ellen Abbott. The whole vomit keep in the jar from the antifreeze poisoning and that Nick threating Amy with the book he wrote. Is that the only difference? Because to me it kind of ended the same.

Just got home from finally seeing it. Loved it.
Could have been 20 minutes shorter.
Overall, though, really dug it. Affleck, NPH, Perry -- hell everyone -- killed their roles. (pun semi-intended?)
The most depressing aspect is, I know some women like this.
Hopefully it gets nominated for an Oscar (though I still think The Equalizer is the best movie of the year)...and I can't WAIT for Batfleck, now.

Seeing it again tonight, because another friend of mine hasn't seen it yet, and it's too damn good not to.

Saw it at the weekend knowing nothing about it and thought it was decent. It reminded me of Basic Instinct slightly. The actress was brilliant too.
