Have you ever heard a popular band totally destroy a cover song? I stumbled across these on youtube & it nearly made my teeth itch.
Original song "Stand & Deliver" by Adam & The Ants:
Ear cancer versions: No Doubt:

Original song "Silver Machine" by Hawkwind:
Ear cancer version: Sex Pistols:
Alien Sex Fiend:
Original song: "You Shook Me All Night Long" by AC/DC:
Ear (and eye) cancer version: Celine Dion & Anastacia:
Any others?

Nickelback s up "Saturday Night's Alright (for Fighting)" Somehow a more rocking version to me: Continuing this No Doubt screws great songs up trend: Talk Talk is one of the best acts from the 80s:

I never cared for the Tanya Version. I'll take the Buddy Holly version any day.

This is why I hate Lenny Kravitz. He ruins and completely misses the point of the song:

This one's bad too, particularly how over produced and unnecessary a lot of it is:

This one isn't too bad, but it's covering the greatest song ever and you can't make that better. Barely even sounds like the song until you hear the lyrics:

I find that pretty much anyone who covers "Wonderwall" does a ridiculously bad job with the song. Even Noel's version sucks balls compared with Liam's.
The same can be said about Iris (Goo Goo Dolls song). For some reason everyone seems to change the structure/melody of the song when they cover it. And it's always terrible.
Plus that stupid cow who covered "Wherever You Will Go". She turned it into hippyish garbage.
