Never heard of it. When did it come out? I'd assume before I was born which was 1994. But that show looks horrifying from those pics

My favorite part of that one is when they go under the board walk showing and telling Charlie that it was like romantic and there's two homeless dudes f*cking!

Bunny Picnic is one of my favorite Jim Henson specials. I, too, remember being freaked out by the big Bunny, but it was alright 'cause the awesomeness of the dog more than made up for it.
FYI: I believe the VHS version is missing the intro from Jim Henson. Don't remember if that got the Emmet Otter treatment or not (Kermit was cut from the beginning of the VHS and DVD releases of Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas). Jim Henson's part was cut from the ending sequence of the VHS/DVD release of A Muppet Family Christmas and I think his intro to Bunny Picnic suffered the same fate, but I could be wrong about that. I've always watched it off the old TV recording I had on VHS (and now dubbed to DVD), which was from the first airing, so the Henson introduction is in-tact.
Also, if you like The Tale Of Bunny Picnic and haven't already, please do check out DOG CITY (the live action special, not the cartoon of the same name). It's an incredibly awesome, but terribly little known Jim Henson creation. Ditto for SONG OF THE CLOUD FOREST, THE MUPPET MUSICIANS OF BREMEN, and THE FROG PRINCE.

But that show looks horrifying from those pics It was a TV special in 1986, I think, and it was made by Jim Henson. It came out 9 years before I was born, and I figured not many people would know of it. It's kinda similar to Fraggle Rock, also created by Jim Henson.

Your right, it's not on the VHS release, and it was never released on DVD. Which sucks, because I would defiantly get it on DVD because of all of the memories it brings back, and to show it to my future kids. I just recently found out that they had cut the Jim Henson intro out, but I looked it up on YouTube and watched it. My brother and I still talk about it randomly about how funny the dog was and how scary the big bunny was. I'll defiantly check out those specials, if I can find them. I'm just glad that I'm not the only person that loved this as a kid. Now I have the "Hello Sunshine" song stuck in my head again.
