Loot Crate was one of the first subscription boxes for nerd/gamer/geek goods. Ive been subscribed for a year now and am enjoying it. Figured id share some of the goods (especially now that they have exclusives) that come in each months box. September 2014: Galaxy Lootcrate Exclusive Star Trek Tribble Plushie (Dog immediately destroyed mine) Firefly figure (I got Mal) Alien Funko Re-Action Figure (I got Ripley) Firefly Money replica Star Wars/Asteroids magnet Digital download code for the Halo Escalation comic from Dark Horse ComicsMini Han Solo in Carbonite poster 9"x27" Galaxy theme pin Pop Rocks Firefly ship themed box.

I have a really hard time validating spending $30 after shipping on any of these blind draws subscriptions. Horror crate appeals to me more than most, but even then, it's just too high of a price for a blind draw. Every time they have stuff I wouldn't buy or want otherwise. I feel like I'm much better off spending my toy/t-shirt money on stuff I really want.

I've thought about trying Loot Crate a couple times, but I just decided it wouldn't be worth it if the main draw of the box wasn't something I was interested in. Though I regret missing out on the GITD Groot Pop Vinyl figure.

Debating weather I should start?
They look cool, there's just a lot in there that I don't think I'd really use.

Tbf, that Groot seperatly is going for more than the entire crate.

Usually theres one or two items worth more than the box itself. Im not a big star trek or doctor who fan, but ive enjoyed most everything else ive recieved. Every other crate, roughly, comes with a shirt as well which is usually where a decent amount of the value comes from. Not all winners. Its the same thrill as buying blind boxes for me. The groot exclusive vynil pop is by far the highest going item from a lootcrate. Lootcrate is getting exclusive edition items now. Rocket racoon comic, groot figure, tribble plush. Not for everyone. Thats why i made this yopic. For those debating. Heres the shirts as of october 2013:

I never heard of Loot Crate before, is it expensive? It's $20/month, which includes shipping (that's the ships-within-US price; I'm not sure how much it is for shipping outside of the US). Here's a pic of the stuff that I received in the October crate: A shirt with cats forming a skull, a Dead Rising 3 sledge-saw pen, "How To Survive A Sharknado" paperback, a piece of Toxic Waste candy, exclusive "Walking Dead" comic & art print, a zombie button and zombie-wound temporary tattoos! (Not pictured: 3D glasses & voucher for "Smite" DLC) Also, if anyone would like to sign up, lemme know... I'd get $5 off with their refer-a-friend program!

I might subscribe to this, and whatever I don't want, I'll just give out as gifts. For 20 bucks, that sounds like something I could afford.

I think the idea's really cool, but the international cost is too much and I think it's only really worth it if you like everything. For me, it seems like I'd only be interested in about one out of every ten or fifteen items.

Got my first Loot Crate this week! It was well worth the $20 due to the Joker Batman Funko POP exclusive and the baby Groot socks. The other things included were cool but those made up the cost for me. I will keep the subscription going
