Why does he never show up on WWE television these days? It has been nearly a year since we last saw him on the air (not counting Warrior's tribute at the start of Raw that week). I miss Mr. McMahon.

Because he's old and is transitioning his backstage role in preparation of handing over the reigns to his successors. I imagine anyways.

I'm not saying he should be out there every week, but seeing him now and then would be great. Like you said he is old and he might not be healthy enough to appear on air much longer (hopefully he will still be able to appear when he is 100 years old) so I wish he would appear some while he is still able to.

The reason is Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. They are the best heels IMO and considering the praise that they were getting from WWE Officials, it was rumored that Vince McMahon nixed his feud between Triple H and Stephanie due to being very high on their characters.

Wait till right after the Rumble, then you'll be sorry you asked. HHH will be trying to run things into the ground and Vince will return and challenge HHH to a match at Mania...but it won't be Vince fighting. He'll bring back the man HHH let "slip through his fingers". Then cue Punks music. Huge pop. Everyone is happy.......
holy crap....did I just contribute a "how to bring back Punk" storyline??? Ugh. I drank the Kool Aid and didn't even know it. I'll be under the covers for a while. Shalom.

Because he has no reason to appear really in the sense that no storyline is really needing him, I could see him doing what Edge did to Cena that one time however (again to hype him up for Lesnar).
The last time I remember him was Hulk Hogan's birthday and before that when he was like "Nice work guys" to The Shield, so he honestly hasn't been relevant since MITB 2011 on T.V.

He was part of the Daniel Bryan WWE Champion angle heading into SummerSlam. He tried to get Wade Barrett to shave Bryan's beard.

He was involved with HHH and Brocks feud before WM 29, he was involved in DB's run for the title, and he could fit into any storyline if he wanted to. I never get tired of seeing Vince on my TV.

He could and is entertaining you're right, but he isn't needed really in The Authority storyline at this stage, and Brock is out so he can't appear there either meaning he'd appear randomly in Ambrose v Rollins or Cena v Orton or any other big feud. I'd rather him talk to Rollins backstage saying things such as "You've always been apart of a group", "Can't you do it alone?", leading to Rollins cashing in and leaving The Authority than appear and say "Nice work guys!" to The Usos. I just find it more entertaining.

At the very least Vince's absence has finally ending the complete mind ery of the hierarchy of power... Vince gets replaced by HHH... HHH gets pulled out by the Board of Directors and replaced by Big Johnny... Johnny is fired by a returning Vince, replaced by Vickie... HHH shows back up and is now above Vickie, who replaced the person who replaced him... Vickie gets replaced by Maddox by Vince, but HHH is still around... At least now we just now it's one "voice" of "The Authority."
