Triple H and Shawn Michaels, with the exception of Armageddon 2002, never really put on a match that wasn't really good. They also didn't fight nearly as much. I don't mind this Cena/Orton simply because it's better than Cena/Rollins and being robbed of Ambrose/Rollins.I'd rather this than have Cena/Orton 17 for the WWE Title. Somebody gets it!

I'm confused as to where it is you've managed to find a point of comparison. HHH vs HBK lasted a total of two years on and off and they had fantastic matches every time they went out. Cena vs Orton has lasted 12 years so far on and off and they always ALWAYS have bad matches. How is this even a discussion? 02-04 was a two year timespan. 02-14 is a twelve year timespan. There's your problem. Cena and Orton's feud and multiple singles matches didn't even start until 07. The point of the thread was for me to find out if people hated seeing HBK and HHH go against each other, as much as they hate Cena and Orton going against each other since people whine and complain about rematches nowadays.

No. We didn't. Those matches were actually good.

They're feud was genuine because they had so much history, and were both unbelievable in the Ring, and their styles were so contrasting. They also had fresh stipulations everytime, going from 2/3 Falls, to Last Man Standings, to Hell in a Cells, to Championship Matches, and they were all so different from one another.

bad comparison
better one would have been HHH & Rock from the late 90's into early 2000's. they had a TON of matches.

Yeah, the everlasting Michaels vs Triple H feud was just as dull and bad as the interminable Cena vs Orton feud. Michaels and HHH at least had that one awesome streetfight before their other million matches, though. Cena and Orton had one good match in 2009, but it was already match #88674 in their best of a billion series.

I dunno bout any one else, but I loved the Triple H vs HBK feud. They could have wrestle 12 PPVs in a row for all I cared. 100% agree. What was great about their matches was they constantly changed things up. It wasn't the same match over & over. They really didn't have a ton of matches together either. In 2002, there was Summerslam, Survivor Series, & Armageddon. I don't think their next singles match wasn't until Raw in December 2003. The 2004 feud wasn't watered down because it included Benoit & Evolution.

I really only liked the Summerslam match/LMS at RR/Raw in 03.
Still a better feud than Orton/Cena either way.

HBK could carry anyone to an outstanding match, and 10-12 years ago, HHH was still in his prime. Those were matches comprised of great chemistry and great in-ring work.
Neither Cena or Orton can do anything interesting on the mic and neither are good workers. All of their matches have blended together as one decade-long snoozefest.

On the contrary, I feel that Cena is a really good worker. When Orton is motivated, he's really good too. However, they just don't have great chemistry.

Always enjoyed HHH and HBK. I was absent as a WWE fan between 2007-early 2014 so I missed a lot of the Orton/Cena stuff. I still considering it lazy booking, although I'm not as bothered by it as most fans.

simply put, neither triple h nor shawn michaels suck in the ring. the other two have serious, serious downfalls in ring.

Cena vs Orton has never lived up to it's potential. I'm hoping their match on Sunday changes that.
I LOVED anytime HBK vs Triple H happened. They always tore the house down. I don't think there's any real comparison.

Like other have said, HHH and HBK had great chemistry. Some of their matches were duds but for the most part they put on 5* classics. I can honestly say that I've never felt that any Cena/Orton match was above average. They have just never clicked in the ring together.

If you haven't seen Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels at Royal Rumble 2004 in the Last Man Standing match, gooooooo yourself. One of my favorites of all time.
