Some figures have a longer neck peg than others, so it occassionally ends up like this. Gotta rip apart the figure and switch the peg to the shorter one.

I think you could also deepen the hole in the head but I could not give you instructions.
The head that comes with the basic looks great on the Elite! Am I right?

Make a very close cut between the "stem" part of the neck peg and the "ball" part. Then sand down the "stem" part, hollow out the ball part a little so you can put the "stem" part into the ball. Once you get the right height, use some 2 part apoxie and glue the stem part into the hole thats in the ball. Should be secure enough to play with or display and you dont have to take the figure apart.

The hollow out the ball some so that the stem goes INTO the ball. With it going into the ball, the head will sit lower because the ball is lower on the stem.

I dont need to crack torsos or something right?

I dont need to crack torsos or something right? Use a saw or knife. You could probably cut it off with some wire cutters but it might mess up the length of the stem. It wont have a hole in it as the peg is one piece. You're basically separating it into 2 pieces, stem & ball. You hollow out the ball some so that it fits over the stem and lower the neck a few millimeters. Just get a hold of a scrap figure to practice on first. If you've got the tools, it shouldnt be too hard.

Here is my method, although I cannot point you to a specific sized drill bit at the moment:
I take my drill (not Dremel) with a bit that is just wide enough for the ball that enters the figures head and drill a hole that is deeper than the existing one. The tricks are to go at a slower setting and to stop short of plowing straight through the roof of the head. This stops you from having to crack the torso if you're not comfortable with that. You lose "some" range of movement, but not enough to really notice.
