- There are rumors that Randy Orton suffered an injury in the Handicap Street Fight Main Event of Monday's WWE RAW from Kansas City.
The rumor comes from a correspondent in attendance. Earlier in the match, Dean Ambrose dove onto the heels from the announce table. The fan noted that Orton later went up to the WWE trainer at ringside and said, "The ruptured disc in my back is ed." Orton had trouble getting in and out of the ring after that spot with Ambrose.
It's worth noting that Orton did not work last night's SmackDown tapings but the injury is not confirmed and should be taken as a rumor for now.
Regarding Orton's pre-existing condition, he suffered a herniated disc during a Falls Count Anywhere Match against Bad News Barrett on the December 30th, 2011 SmackDown after Barrett pushed Orton down a flight of stairs. Orton chose rehab over surgery and was back in the ring just over a month later.

I'm not the biggest Orton fan by any means, but I'd rather him face Lesnar for the title instead of Cena. Thoughts?

It sucks, and I hate to see any performer get injured. But Cena-Ambrose-Rollins Triple Threat in Hell in a Cell for #1 contendership would be cool.

If it's true it sucks. The WWE really can't afford to have any more main event players get injured. Truth be told, this is part of why they need to build more stars. It's why back in 2000, Austin and Undertaker could miss half the year and the WWE not miss a beat.

ruptured discs are painful as hell, that kind of injury will severely shorten any wrestling career. must be a large reason why he's choosing to go more part time/no house shows.

I don't think he got injured. But if this is true, I hope he'll heal quickly. I want to see him vs Lesnar too.
