I honestly believe they thought putting him with Heyman WAS supposed to catapult him into the next level. It was just too soon. He was on fire at that very moment and didn't need him and it backfired and he hasn't been the same since.

It's the heel turn with Paul Heyman. He should've stayed face after WrestleMania and beat Jack Swagger at Extreme Rules. Then move onto an upper mid-card feud. I hate how quickly people want everyone to get pushed nowadays. Once somebody shows potential he has to win the title or something like that.

Hahaha that goofy ass crap. That cowboy hat look was ridiculous. With his big head, all I could think about was Kurt Angle's mini cowboy hat. "Yippe Ki Yay"

What a surprise. A wrestler who's not in the main event picture complaining about the two that have been for years.

Cesaro has a legit beef. The dude was so over around Wrestlemania. When they split the Real Americans, they should have turned Cesaro face.
Instead, they make Cesaro a boring generic heel, tell him to stop doing all of the things that the fans liked about him, give him AWFUL music, and then they shoved Jack Swagger down our throats who nobody cares about.
And I think that after Ryback, Curtis Axel, and Cesaro...let's just put to DEATH the theory that you can "put anybody with Paul Heyman" and he'll make them a star.
I love Paul Heyman, trust me. HUGE Paul Heyman/ECW fan,......but besides Big Show, Lesnar and Punk who are stars on their own...who has Paul Heyman "made" in the last 15 years as a manager?
WWE is lucky there are no other legit wrestling organizations or Cesaro would end up being to WWE what Stone Cold Steve Austin was to WCW....i.e, letting a guy go and he becomes a MAJOR star elsewhere.

If there were other wrestling organizations and doctors who could perform personality transplants.

Fantastic wrestler, but man, he desperately needs to get a personality.

It makes sense (from a company perspective) to punish him for the things he said by making him look weak. You have created a product in Cena vs. Orton on PPV (not a very good one but that's not the point) and one of your employees publicly talks bad about it. Now obviously firing somebody over such an incident is inappropriate so you punish him in a company-convenient way, in this case making him look weak. Makes perfect sense to me.

Fantastic wrestler, but man, he desperately needs to get a personality. He's basically a Lance Storm kind of guy. Put him in there with a Cena or Bryan level star and he can have a great match with them, but he's got zero star quality himself.

As far as WWE goes, Lesnar was the only guy that Heyman was, and still is to an extent, a major hand in creating. Lesnar went on to achieve success outside WWE, but he's never been better in WWE without Paul Heyman. Punk didn't need Heyman to elevate him and Ryback and Axel both couldn't get anywhere with him, though that could be due as much to sloppy creative.

Except for the fact that he'd been booked badly for months before his comment. Pre-emptive punishment just in case he talks smack about the 2 greatest legendary superstars of all time?

That's not what I was talking about. I think it's pretty obvious that his 2-0 loss to Dolph Ziggler on PPV is a direct result of those comments he made. This is an acute case of him being portrayed weak as a punishment, everything that happened before is pretty much irrelevant in this discussion.
