If your cool with spending $30 and having major paint quality issues then that's good for you. $5 or $5000, most people don't like spending money for something that's not up to par. $30 is not a big of price really, i would be pissed if it was $60-100; but $30, really!? has the recession been that bad? $30 isn't a big deal to me either, but what about other people? It's pretty unfair to make such a bold assessment like that and pretty shallow on your part. We clearly have different views but just because you view it as minuscule doesn't mean other people do as well.

Let me ask you this before you respond and tell me to stop complaining or some other asinine remark. How would you feel if you've been waiting a couple of months for a highly anticipated dvd/blu-ray/cd etc. to come out; you purchase if, open it up, but it's scratched and won't play. You can't return it because it's opened. Is it still not a big deal to you because it's under $30? Wouldn't you be angry you just spent money on a defective item that doesn't work? Regardless of price it's still unfortunate to buy something brand new that has paint defects or other issues.

What is wrong with you? A customer is well within their rights to expect a new product to be free of defects, regardless of cost. It doesn't matter if things break down over time, they shouldn't be faulty when they're new.
And you just admitted that it's a big deal to someone if they want it to be. That doesn't give you any sort of reason to tell people they shouldn't complain. People have their opinions, you have yours. There is no reason to tell someone whether or not they can complain. That is not up to you. Just because you don't care about the quality of a product doesn't mean everyone else shouldn't.
Additionally, there are people who have been collecting figures for years that are still in perfect condition, even if they're 40+ years. Paper breaks down over time, and yet there's still very high quality copies of Action Comics #1 or Detective Comics #27 in circulation.
Absolutely nothing you have said makes sense.

Heel Roman at it again. I love it. Obviously $30 is a big deal to everyone. This is his thing.
I would be pissed though. But this was your fate, and the only thing you can do is get a voucher from Mattel to use in store at a later date. Then fix this one up. RSC's strict return policy is their way of protecting themselves from getting scammed. It's the world we live in.

Mine too had some paint lost at the same area when I took off his jacket last night. But I don't really care too much, mainly because I am the only one who looks at it, and nobody will notice it but me anyhow, and the belt pretty much makes up for anything that is wrong with the figure anyhow.

Apparently during production the coat went on the figure before the paint could dry. Who knows...

You can't return it because it's opened. Of course you can return in. They won't give you back money, but they will replace the disc. Normally they'll open the new one so you can't return it to another store for cash, but they do replace it. I have done that with both DVD's and game discs that didn't work. The last time that happened to me was last years version of Madden. I took it back to TRU for a new copy.

It is not a big deal! Shame on you. That felt weird.

Sure an arm swap or "removal" of something would be simple at best, but the way I look at it is if I pay that much for a fig, I would expect more quality than that.
