Undertaker always sells. I want 98 Taker as much as anyone, but I'm also happy with this one. I think we'll get him in most of his gears eventually.

I thought the guy who always begged for WM14 Undertaker was banned... That guy was on a 4 week sabbatical for inappropriate comments about divas. Or arguing. Or something. Anyway. Glad they saved my question for a video q and a with Bill. Not like I asked 986 times.

I really hope they throw the gray tie in there with him. It will look weird without it. Ugh I'd be so irritated if they made it without the grey tie. Then I'd have to hunt down an EG tie that would probably cost a pretty penny. It would be nice if they made a snap on plastic tie piece that snapped into the gap around the collar/throat. kind of like the BAF torsos have, but removable.

Have you looked at the scan? I mean sculpt

In my opinion the spot should've been saved for a more profitable figure like the WM 14 instead of the grey gloved one which would be more suited in the ordinary Elite line.
But if you guys are happy with it that's cool but I will certainly not be buying it since I already have the EG which is a much better figure.

Making the 97-98 Taker would not be more profitable, as it would require new tooling for parts, while this figure is just a repaint.

I'm misunderstanding this title. What wm 31 Undertaker are you referring to? The early 90's taker they are doing is a Target exclusive for a line called Hall of Fame. The wmxxx elites last year were a one-off. The Hall of Fame line is Steve Austin, Kane, Undertaker, Trish Stratus, Ultimate Warrior, and Sgt. Slaughter.

Has there ever been any Undertaker (from Mattel) that was a shelf warmer? The only one I ever saw was Defining Moments at Big Lots.

I wasn't even thinking literal hall of fame, I was thinking hall of fame just being a buzzword name for a toy line. I just remember seeing all these pics in a row for the figures at RSF. So they must've announced that those were wm31 figures in the q&a? I didn't see that video. And also, cool for doing something that ups the overall number of flashbacks.

I have been slightly off in everything I have done today, so of course, when I sneak off to have some phone time at work I say something off in a very public and embarrassing place.

Wait, you mean to tell me you want this look This is pretty much the DM look, which warmed shelves hard. If you want to justify this want for the absolutely hideous entrance coat (which in my opinion looks like something Mr. Sinister would wear) then more power to you. My opinion, we are getting the definitive iconic look with the future grey gloved release.

A 98 style won't shelfwarm. every DM released back then shelfwarmed in every store I went in. Figures that shelfwarm are still made and still shelfwarm. A 98 Taker will sell just fine, bud.

Mattel has the license for 5 more years. It is almost a given we will see EVERY undertaker we can think of. Especially if its a highly requested figure here on the boards. Patients we will all have our personal favorite Taker sooner or later.
